Never used propane before. Used butane back in the late 90's when I found the tek on Erowid I think.

Pho is popular in a lotta places. It's great on rainy days, and is good for what ails ya ?

Boffo's Magic Circus Tek? I found that one in the mid-to-late 90's as well......and blasted a buncha tubes. I thought it was the shit for awhile there....

but then I found out about bubble hash and dropped that nast pronto. Prolly been 20 years since I smoked the Bu-Taint'ted stuff. It was hard as fuck to find cans to blast with back then....and none of it was 5X refined/etc... Was fun @ the time but I shake my fuckin head now about all of it.

Squishin is sure fun. Interesting to see how different everyone plays @ the same temps/etc. Kinda like the bub...everybody gonna come to the party dressed a bit differently.... heehee...

The temps I think are pretty personal depending on what consistency your looking for, or if your looking for return over flavor. Why I press low temp first (flavor), high temp second to get what's left (return, last actauuly buttered rather than becoming snap and pull). I've really been playing with pressure. Getting a good slow 20s- heat soak seems to help with blowouts, especially when tamping up pressure. Keeping the pressure on as you squish, also important for a good return. PSI drops as your goodies are squeezing out. 1000psi at the puck seems to be somewhat of a sweetspot, you need to calculate what that 1000psi needs to read depending on puck size, press cylindar size etc.

So doing the weekly cleaning of the peak. This is reclaim collected during vaporization, and before it hits the water. Tried it holy crap cause I'm curious would be great for cooking, ?!

I got the dummy, push-the-button Dulytek 6000.....no adj on pressures/etc. Time/temp parameters......but nothin else.

I only do one squish. Setting @ 190-195 now......135 seconds. Been squishing 5 day dry buds lately. All winter I've been squishing last year's cured outdoor take. Much darker squish on a consistent basis with the cured/dried product. The fresh bud definitely offers a bit better flavor. and a far lighter in color product...but it's all good in my book.

I just hit 650 presses on my unit. Had it a year and a half now. there are certainly things I'd change if I could....but overall I'm very happy and it works very well for my needs. Definitely "fire in fire out"........especially with the terps....which is my main focus. Good stuff, Maynard.

This was one of my favorites, Reno Genetics Cosmos close to 24% yeild 185f 90u 3 minutes close to 1200psi mini puck blowout. This was one of my favorites, potency and flavor profile are top notch! Pics before and after the cure. Notice there's not a lot left after the cure, tearing it up...the puffco likes to eat well!

Very nice @Deebs . Could you possibly give a short tutorial on the rosin curing. This is a subject that i would like to know more on. The small amount of pressing i have done has been with flower that has been cured already. So i am a bit confused on the rosin curing.

I think "proprietary"mixtures are made also now. Propane hexane whatever tane they may like etc

They probably pull different "fractions." I've used white gas before (aka camp fuel, but NOT Coleman's that stuff is not very clean) and if you washed too long, it would pull out more green.

I got my out of gas truck off the mountain on that stuff before lol

Well I tend to look at this a few ways.

Cold cure, quickest, currently preferred way for me. Basically put it in the chiller for 8 hrs sealed air tight, I take it out leave it in a dark cool area for a few days see s to smooth out the terps. Terps right from the press can be harsh.

Heat cure. Basically put the rosin on a hotplate stirrir 110-120f stir that shit, I like to get away from whipping as others do. Don't need oxygen degrading my meds...sit on a cloning mat for a few days.

How are you getting those perfectly rounds drops into the jars

Some stuff will just pool that way, once I drop it it goes to the chiller changing the viscosity. On waxier substances, roll it up like a temple ball put it on parchment and sit on a warm hot plat stirrir / clone mat will make a nice little coin.

Mine should be here...I fuckin hope....any day now. Medium size.......reg unit...oil free pump. Wife said "Aqua"...LOL. Will use it for the garden and for tryin to up the hash game a bit. Lots to learn across the board. Will be a bit before I have tons of product to play with...thanks to the wife.....but it is what it is and we will, hopefully, get there/figure some of this out when the Fall harvest drops. Could be a lot of fun.......and if it isn't.....I'll be eating more soup/rehydrated veggies...

Been reading on using them also for awhile, wife is pushing me on the medium also, so in cases like this shelter at home/ shit hit the fan scenarios we can do the garden leftovers ice cream you name it.. gotta say she has a point

My wife's late father always told us we should get one. When the topic came up a few months ago and i told her I'd really like one to play with but that..yeah...you know....it's all just $$$$ goin out....I kinda thought she'd nixx it right off the bat......but nope......she jumped right in...and she said "fuck changing oil!"......so i upped the $$$ hit and took the upgraded pump option. Fuckin old people. Heehee. Will probably snag a dehydrator as well...cus I've been reading that some stuff does better on taste in that than the FD.....and some does better in the FD. Why not...huh? Gonna rock the fuck out of both the veggie and weed garden this year to give us something to play with. Should be tons of fun if we don't die first. If we do I'm leavin it to Deebs....
