The .Smoke Shack

So, some changes are on the way.
Just like so many here are on that hunt for that "1" perfect pheno, I too find myself "on the hunt" so to speak, but in a bit different way.

I've been a fiddler/tinker for as long as I can remember. Always taking and adapting things to fit certain needs I couldn't readily go out and purchase. I find myself spending more time thinking about our needs as growers more and more.

Just looking at how differences in growing methods, styles, equipment, and effort that goes into each person's grow regardless of what they may be growing, I knew there had to be better, easier, smarter ways to accomplish our goals.
So, I started to tinker...

I've been speaking with the administrators here, and I believe you will soon see a screen name change for me to... "swAmp Hydroponics".
(Trademark application submitted 11/30/2020)

Focused on a "work smarter, not harder" way of thinking, I've been developing a few different items and ideas with an effort to make the act of growing for us all, just as easy as mother nature makes it look..

With that in mind,
I'll be ending all current threads and journals I currently have to focus on my new thread displaying a hybrid 100% hydroponic, gravity assisted DWC/DTW grow site currently in its prototype/testing phase called, the "swAmp Bucket".

I plan to use the new journal to show the "swAmp grow method" used with the sites, which utilize a 100% L.E.C.A media in your standard hydroponic solution, without the need for recirculation or added air!

Sounds too good to be true??
Well, check out the thread to see the developments.
I plan to provide some sites free of charge to a few interested growers once I have a bit more testing completed.

The sites are new, and currently in a beta/test run phase, so I'll be documenting the grows along the way.
I'll also be working on other growing gadgets and gizmo ideas I have in development.

So please,
Check out the new thread
"Swamp Hydroponics" - coming soon.

Hell yes bother ! ??

I forgot to mention the sites are adaptable from being able to run as a 1 site system, all the way to a multi-unit system where the capability of your current watering manifold and the acceptable rate and volume amounts of drainage you can support are the only 2 factors that limit the number of units that can be run together.

In an open commerical setting, it's feasible that 1,000 sites can be tied to 1 feed timmer, feeding via large reservoir to a manifold system, then to the sites with 1/4" tubing utilizing the 1/4" "quick connect emitter" that's located on the lid of each unit.

Other then when the pump is running to feed the sites, (mine currently feeds 1/3 gallon over 4 minutes every 6 hours for instance) the system is 100% silent and uses no electricity.

home grown
The GDP was from ILGM.
And the trimmer is a 19" Ipower bowl trimmer I got from Amazon.
Amazon product

It runs about $170 and can trim up to 4 ounces wet or dry.

They also have a 16" for $130 here...
Amazon product

I would guess you could trim 2+ at a time with it.

They're built like tanks, work really well and if you ever need to replace the blades, a 4 pack is $27.

It has saved me days of my life, literally. 20-30 turns and you have 4 ounces trimmed in under 1 minute.

I've got the 16 in version coming I see it has serrated blade for dry & strait blade for wet been watching various videos on you-tube I'm sure I'll have to experiment a bit to find my groove I was given a big electric trimmer but it's too big & complicated for my liking looking forward to seeing your new endeavor unfold
