I got the colas chopped and needed a smoke break. She's still got some work left with 50% of her already down...

I use a 19" bowl trimmer so I have to cut the buds down to process them, but I do always like keeping a couple somewhat in tact.

Time to get back in and get her finished. More to come.
Edit....I just noticed the light in my basement really make the pistils appear white/yellow. Unfortunately it really doesn't do her justice :(

Buds just never look as good on a screen as in person.... so those must look incredible in person because they look pretty amazing on my phone lol... they have some serious girth! Nice work smoke

Hey yo @.Smoke !

I'd be curious to hear the dry weight on that cluster of donkey doinks from that GDP here in a couple of weeks. Stellar work :clapping:
I'll definitely make sure to get a weight on them. (y)

After a little closer investigation I decided to toss the bottom half back in the tent to let them ripen up a bit more. I think I might let it go heavier on the amber so I can get a good mix and see which I prefer.
I thought I was safe taking the net off from her base now that the colas were gone, but she decided to open up on me a bit anyway.

The buds still left aren't the smallest in the world which is why I wanted to give them proper time to fully finish.

She still has quite a bit of weight on her.

I don't think there's really going to be much larf even though she didn't get any trimmings.

You can really get a sense of the size colas she produced now that the Gelato towers over her in the back.

I got the colas on the drying rack @ 68F 50RH.

They're looking a lot more to my liking in here than the in the grow room.

Time to let "time" do its thing... :chasing tail:

I've been channeling my inner Thomas Edison lately by testing different materials to use as a filter to keep my perlite/vermiculite from clogging up my 3/8" drains.
A piece of fabric from a cloth pot came in as a close second, but it slowed drainage down way too much.

My solution was this...
Made of vinyl so no deterioration, and it barely slows the water flow while keeping the media where it belongs.
Just need a zip tie and done.

Hopefully this will keep me from having the occasional backup/overflow I've run into.

Looks like it might be a lazy day. I could use one. I measured my runoff a couple days ago. Not something I normally do. I figured out I've been letting nutes build up waaaay too long without a proper clean out when my PH was @ a 6.7. So after 400 gallons of ph'd water and 48hrs, I now have things back under control. So everyone is cruising along now.

I didn't like the fact that Lux was 85K at the top, and 28k at the main level of the Gelato so she got super cropped and the hood lowered to increase lux to 48k @ canopy level. (57k @ the crop)

You can really tell how I bleached the heck out of the OG Kush before I turned the 2 smaller hoods down to 750w. She's a nice bright neon green, but not really showing too many ill effects from it.

The Zkittlez Glue and MK Ultra should start the stretch soon

And everyone in the veg tent is nice and cozy under 38k lux of CMH.
