Been a minute since I've posted. Heres a quick catch up
CackleBerry F2 X Nepal Jam was a monster, unique woody/spicy terps, Ill be smoking it for a while
The cackleberry project continues, 5 female F3's here, hit with two outstanding F3 males, F4's on the way. out of the 5, 4 are very much like the selected winner mom from the F2's.
The next round of strain exploration has also started, here we have a tent full of several strains, Hazeman's Durban Poison F2 and Neville's Skunk, as well as Humbolts 'Squirt'. Lets just say Squirt is going to be great, as is the Durban F2, still not sold on Neville's skunk, but there's potential there. I'll post some more as things develop
Lastly is a tent full of Doc D's band aid haze - which isnt worth posting any pics of yet, they just sprouted. Crossing my fingers again for some piff terps. Wish me luck.

Damn that's a hell of a yield. That lines up pretty close with what I have seen in my own grows, that mars LED is a fantastic light, really any decent quantum board should get similar results.

PSA: Humboldt Seeds strain 'Squirt' is legit. Shaping up to be a really incredible strain that stays true to the tangie terps, while somehow ramping up the loudness and terp profile. Experience tells me to still be weary of nanners, but also that this strain has potential beyond what I expected. Both Squirts were lightly pollenated with Cackleberry F3 males and the seeds have gone to the top of my list of things to explore.. it wont win any awards for yield or flower to leaf ratio, but, if its in your budget and you are a fan of tangie/orange terps, this is a high recommend from me.

Bro I am beyond ready for the piff to come back into my life. Top Dawg's uptown let me down, not that it was a bad strain, but it didnt hold a candle to the real deal. I'll keep this thread posted every step of the way.

@THT Its the least I could do after all the seeds you have given me. Fingers crossed on finding the piff out of the bandaid haze. I have 8 sprouts of it going right now. I remember what the piff was like back in the day. If I find anything remotely genuine in these I will send some F2's your way.

Cackleberry F3's, I didn't do a great job taking care of these plants, but they are still delivering as I had hoped, The winner from these F3's will have its offspring grown out next for what is planned to be a full on F5 seed round. Looks aside, this is one of my favorite strains, the end result has a very thick 'maple syrup' smell to it on top of a slew of other complex terps. Maybe only another 2 weeks here for some of these.

Everything I run starts life from seed at 12/12 and stays that way till the end
. The squirt, durban F2, and Nevilles Skunk started around 2nd or 3rd week of January. Durban is chopped and Squirt are done enough to chop. Neville's still has another 2 weeks I'd say. One reason I prefer this method is the extra harvest cycle each year = more plants I get to see in shorter time. The other reason is that I want to breed and select only strains that perform well under these conditions. Many people are shocked at how well a 12/12 from seed grow can yield, very few strains do not perform well to be honest.

I have a grown a few that really embody that structure. Columbian gold was one that stands out, this was one of her branches
