12/12 from seed man. this is a great example of how the time it takes a plant to transition into flower really effects the size. this strain was like 8 weeks before it stopped stretching and some aren't even really fully into flower yet. That's a crazy stretch! Those 12/12 from seed? I don't know how you do it man, but hats off to ya... tops are maxed out of headroom!
That's crazy! How do you deal with the headroom issue? Light's don't burn the tops? I have planned at least a couple grows to go 12/12 from seed, but never actually followed through with it... Chicken out last minute and veg em out like usual. But seeing your grows are giving me a lil inspiration to actually try it. But I mostly pop new to me stuff with each grow, so I never really now what to expect...maybe I'll try with something I've ran before, somewhat familiar with and know what to expect and go from there. Keep doing your thang bud?12/12 from seed man. this is a great example of how the time it takes a plant to transition into flower really effects the size. this strain was like 8 weeks before it stopped stretching and some aren't even really fully into flower yet.
Unfortunately, we're having the same experience. I am disappointed to say the least, I don't have the vertical space for these, and I also don't really detect piffness in the terps. It looks like these could flower for another 3 months at the rate things are going. There's a good chance I won't let them get close to finish. Thanks for the confirmation brother, the search continues.@THT How are the Bandaid Haze 3.0 going? I've got to say its not delivering the piff as I was hoping. I have never had to top a strain so hard in my life lol. I had high hopes but I just culled 3 females that underwhelmed me. I don't see running this plant ever again, flower times are too long for 12/12 from seed.
The search indeed does continue. I'm also leaning towards pulling the plug if they take too long. I seriously doubt any "crossed with the piff" offerings out there are really going to deliver.Unfortunately, we're having the same experience. I'm in 5 gallon buckets and I cram 4 plants in each usually. What containers are you guys running them in? If I remember @THT is running multiples in bubble buckets. How about you @Senokai ? I saw some pictures of a couple that someone on another board finished in 2 gallons of soil and they didn’t look to have gotten too out of hand. That said @THT ’s pictures looked like a jungle!
@THT Awesome photos!Squirter F1 (Squirt X Cackleberry) Three of the six females were culled early, of the remaining three one stands out as the victor in terms of overall score, size, speed, potency, smell, taste, trichs, bud structure. Flavors punching harder than the cackle but softer than the squirt, and somewhere in between on the terps. A fantastic expression, potent, like throbbing in the back of your eyes potent but not a couch lock high that cackleberry tends to give. My wife said it smells and tastes 'amazing', nuff said, F2's will probably hit the next free tent.

Thanks man, its really good stuff, I'll make sure you get some too, Sorry again, I don't make it to the post office very often but I'll make sure the wait is worth it!Looks and sounds killer!
You know when the time comes Imma buy your gear. I am ALWAYS down to help test anything too.So I decided to finally hop on Strainly to try and source some new genetics... in particular to continue my long search for THE Haze, the one and only Haze.
I hit up Sunshinestateseedco and purchased a pack of their Cuban Black Haze. If I detect the haze in these seeds I'll most assuredly buy their cut and hold her tight.
I plan to also purchase cuts of ECSD, and Strawberry Cough, and I am considering a few other elites to put into the rotation in my gardens. The idea of bringing some elite clones into my chucking and breeding projects just makes sense, and the possibility of reversing has also been on my mind.
As this progresses, I plan to start making some of my most worked strains available for sale (and affordable) hopefully through one of the common seed distributers such as DCSE or GLG
Cackleberry F6 (Cherry Diesel X Stardawg by greenpoint seeds) (an 'official' name is still undecided)
Top tier dankness with a fairly uniform expression of deep, rich, and dark terps. When broken up, coffee, leather, shoe polish, maybe some pepper, garlic and oregano, very complex but desirable aromas and not like the straight up stardawg but some obvious similarities. The buds in a jar give off a strong and unmistakable maple syrup smell, every expression has been like this. Potency is very high, it makes me sleepy so I find it best for relaxing. The flavor is outstanding, powerful, and long lasting which for me is the main indicator of a successful THT strain and something that I can be proud of. Performance in the12/12 from seed environment is perfect for indoor grows and fully finishes in 3 months from seed. That translates to about 70-75 days of flower give or take a few days.
Dirt Stick F5 (Columbian Gold X Cackleberry)
Try not to let the name stop you from considering giving this strain a look. The terps bear no resemblance to either parent and can only be described as soil, dirt, and grow store, like putting your head into a bag of fox farms and taking a whiff, there's nothing like it that I have ever seen and it is basically 'homozygous' in this expression. The best part is that the smell translates really well into flavor, and the flavor is woody, earthy and straight up miracle grow. It's not a strain for everyone (my wife hates it) but I can't deny that it possesses outstanding, powerful and long lasting flavor. Another ideal performer under 12/12 conditions from seed, height is manageable, low stretch and finishes within 3 months from seed, so 70-75 days of flower give or take.
Other strains that are under construction and may be released
Squirter (Squirt X Cackleberry)
I know what you are going to say... 'another cackleberry cross?' At least that's what I would say. This strain is on the fence right now, the terp combinations that I was hoping for in this cross have not yet come to fruition but what I have found is a better performing expression of squirt, all the flavor, none of the runtiness. My only qualm with it is the overall bag appeal is not quite there yet, it doesn't 'look' like anything special and to be frank I would look it right over myself. The strain has been worked to F3 with selected parents from two different F2 lines, one frosty as hell but lacking great terps, and one terpy as hell but lacking great frost. fingers cross but I'll update once the F3's make it into the garden again.
Tangie X Sour Strawberries
There are you happy? not a lick of cackleberry in this strain. This cross meshed together beautifully, perhaps too well... there was so little variation in the f2 offspring's terps that it makes me want to cross it back to an F1, or one of the constituent parents again. The F2 expression was nice all things considered, smells from both Tangie and Sour Strawberries strains were so clearly detectable in every plant, it was almost like it just took both terp profiles and stuck them together but had to reduce the volume of each in order to fit it all.. I am not disappointed with the outcome but I feel like this strain needs a 'boost' from one side of the cross or the other.
I am just getting a lot of new plants started now for some exploration and my usual chuck fest. Few more greenpoint strains, Purple Mountain Majesty, Maverick, Copper Chem, and TNT, World of seeds 'wild thailand' landrace, Mr Nice's 'SHIT', Sagarmatha's 'Hawaiian Punch', Hazeman's 'Neville's Skunk', Crockett's Sour Sunset, and Crockett's Sour Strawberries
I'll start posting pics when things look interesting
cheers
Hell yeah thanks brother. That TK X CBH sounds enticing as well. I've ran the 'Shit' strain once before and got a solid, fast finishing, decent yielding expression with decent overall appeal.Definitely got my attention! I've been eyeing Sunshine State Seed Co for a while now. They have several BX lines and cuts I'd love to try. I've almost pulled the trigger on their Triangle Kush cut a few times, as well as the Triangle Shine breeders cut. Plus I just dropped a couple of Skunkteks Triangle Kush x Cuban Black Haze (reversed) so Im looking forward to seeing how they compare to the straight up Cuban Black Haze!
Also can't wait to see that Mr Nice "SHIT". I have a pack waiting in the wings.
That's what's up. I appreciate you always being willing to throw an unknown into your garden, which is always looking great btw.You know when the time comes Imma buy your gear. I am ALWAYS down to help test anything too.
