Lol, whew, just you doin the math made me dizzy!
I gave the neighbor gal 3 droppers about 4 hours ago,,,,,,,,,,, last check she's napping.
I tried a 2 dropper dose bout rge,same time, I'm lit.
Much stouter and faster than last batch.
Gummies maybe.

By the dropper sound like a lot better plan than by the shot glass!!

It's really thick, but runny and only faintly smells of ethanol. Is rather smooth on the tounge actually. Much thicker and it'd be RSO or something for sure.

Must not try large dose, must not try shot glass,, o_O :onpoint:??

The Ardent is great for decarbing and infusing oil but I think I remember reading that putting alcohol in it is a no no. It Decarbs a bit but not a lb. The decarb is good and as simple as put the weed in and press a button :)

The problem is it is flammable...eh

To avoid problems like this i do a closed loop extraction with this machine. 1 gallon of 192 proof grain squeezings and i use it for all kinds of stuff...dabs...puck recaptures and...sleep tincture. I ardent FX decarb it first then put it in a mason jar in the freezer with frozen moonshine and leave it for a week.

Run the machine twice...thin it out with grape seed oil for sleep meds OR just put the cruicible full in the next batch of gummies.

This is the only evap machine i can leave running and not worry about it. And it takes 300ml of carrier and gives you back 290 to 295 ml of 192 proof to reuse..over and over.

From all the information I have read on this type of extraction, this Turbo machine is the :poop: !!
I would love to have one, I just can't pull that $600.00 trigger.

Now that I have received the ardent and looking back at my question well, that was a pretty dumb question and self explanatory. I'll try not to do that again ?. This is my very first time trying this so thanks for all the info and insight here! Ok, back to just reading and learning. ✌️

If you have the Ardent NOVA....do not over fill or you might screw it up (they swapped me one out under warranty).

For the FX if you overfill it ...it just makes a mess.

And you should weight out a 1 gram bud after decarb and eat it ...tastes like crap but WOW it will show you how great an investment you have made.

It is foolproof and perfect. I love mine.

in the NOVA i could squeeze 1 oz if i smashed it down with a dowel...in the FX i can fit a QP. For me I want the strongest 8ml gummy i can make...with just coconut oil infusions. I do add some RSO dabs to pump it up sometimes if i have surplus RSO. But some people probably do not need 100mg gummies.

And all of the cheap knock offs...well Ardent is the champ. They DO the research to prove it too. My favorite was when so many of us asked about max saturation they started infusing 1 and 2 oz into 1 cup of fat to see the transfer loss.

That is what i needed to know....and I now know i can squeeze that QP into 3 cups of fat....and then i get the rest out of it with a different machine.

I think getting the Ardent was a good first step. I love mine, wish I got it sooner.

Mfers I made hit quick, not 2hrs as advertised lol I ain’t even worked up to a whole weed leaf mold yeUt. Be nappin, not gettin shit done, smokin, big grin though. Found a quick recipe works dandy. Jolly rancher jello. Don’t do the citric acid sugar, just keeping mine in a jar wrapped in parchment paper. Didn’t use corn syrup, added that much water. did add 1/2 tsp powdered lecithin

Half cup ice cold water 3oz jello mix 2 packets of unflavored gelatin 1/4 cup light corn syrup 1/4 cup tincture Candy molds Condiment dispenser ( optional but makes like easier and cleaner)

Coating: Half cup sugar 2 1/2 teaspoons citric acid

Instructions:

Mix water and corn syrup together until clear ( not foggy)

Pour into sauce pan ( no heat yet) then add gelatin and jello mix and mix until there are no clumps and mixed together well. Turn on heat to medium low and set a timer for 10 minutes. Stir every minute or two making sure the mixture isn't boiling so it doesn't burn. Pull off of heat after 5-10 minutes and add tincture ( I used 1/4 cup, you can use what you like) stir together well.

Now like in the video I poured my mixture into a condiment container and filled my molds up nice and clean. I let them sit for about 15-20 minutes. Now mix sugar and citric acid together evenly. After gummies have solidified quite a bit Gently removed them and coat them in your sugar mixture. Refrigerate for 4 hours or however you want. I winged it on that with 4 hours. Enjoy

if you do not put citric in the gummys you will have white mold even if they are in the fridge.

Might be different for jolly rancher jello..it may have citric in it. We only get jello here and no name which is not so good.

I have the FX. So I tried the " eat 1 gram of decarbed flower" well OLDG, I believe my life has changed. Holy snopes! Didn't taste as shitty as I thought it was going to and I felt great for many hours. I think the only reason I will ever cook, gummies, cookies etc. Is for stealth ( vacations, on the road etc.) And to give to friends. Thanks for the recommendation OLDG. I think I'll store the FX in my gun safe, must keep it safe ?

Rocking some Master Wu Green Dragon right now. Definitely cuts down on smoking :joint:
What I like is
1) the rush,.... you get high quick
2) almost indefinite shelf life
3) easy to make

Currently I decarb 1/2 ounce, put that in a pint jar. Pour in 5 oz of Everclear. Heat water on the stove to 170-180F, needs to lap up the jar about an inch..... inch and a half. Simmer jar, lid on, at that temp for 20 minutes. Let it cool, then strain and put in dropper bottles. If you did it right you'll get back 2.5 oz of tincture. The tricky part is getting the water right, I use a candy thermometer.
