URGENT Question Tiny gnats in my soil.

Lot of good info on here. I tent to have a few fungus gnats flying around (1-3 max) per tent but I have had infestation especially when I used to use coco Loco the one order I got was infested with them and I didn’t have any other media so I used it and I mixed some DE (diatomaceous Earth) with my top half of the coco when I transplanted and to keep them from becoming flyers I kept a nice layer of DE on the top and bottom ended for a week or two until there were hardly any left. Then to catch the remaining breeders I placed a sticky trap on top of the soil of each plant and they caught all the rest that would breed to make more. There are alot of preventative measures but since I grow in my house I cannot and I repeat cannot justify releasing 1000s more bugs into my home to kill others so this is the best and most organic way I have found to kill them off. I even went as far as to put a sticky trap on my fly seater and waved it around in the tent when the infestation was at its worst and that knocked alot out too. Just watch because if you use plastic pots they will move from the top to the bottom drain holes and make little nests inside there. I have been adding these rocks aquarium rocks to the bottom of my plastic pots and then I use lava rocks in the top sometimes if it’s a plant that is gonna be on the same pot for skin time.

Good point about the bottom of plastic pots. I see those little fuckers coming out of there sometimes
