Tobacco Pipes and Paraphernalia

I'm a frequent pipe smoker and a collector of pipes and related tools and paraphernalia. I know @UncleB indulges as well so I think its time to kick off a little thread to share. Heres what Im rolling with today.

Danish Stanwell Vario Liverpool. Its my favorite pipe overall. I have a hefty sherlock Ill share later that I also enjoy but its more of a commitment. This one just burns so nice and pulls so smooth its hard to beat. I have a few antiques in the collection as well.



Smoking on this new tobacco from Meerschaum.

Ive only sampled it once so far but enjoyed it. I usually buy ready rub cut but went plug cut this time. I like it.

That's a regal looking Stanwell for sure.

The Eccentric looks really deluxe - haven't tried, but the reviews (including yours) have me interested!

Kind of a quirky first pipe to post, but a treasured one. A clay Cutty from Dawn Mist.

That ceramic glaze on the mouthpiece makes all the difference.

It's a bit silly, but this is the pipe I'd most like next if I can find a decent repro. Lee Van Cleef's from a "Few Dollars More". I think its a Peterson Meerschaum with an amber lucite stem (an anachronism since the stem wouldve been bone, antler or ivory in the 1860s).

Out on my first break this morning, trying to get caught up on the forum.

Those coins of Luxury Bullseye Flake have been mellowing in a repurposed pb jar since 2015. Definitely a slow, mellow smoke.

I assume the flavors you are getting from that are a bit different than a Malboro red?

Not a new idea, but I've been smoking these Semois cigars lately, and bringing along a mini cob to get my last Penny's worth out of the final 3rd. It's been working great!







There's a "lucky Uncle" story attached to those cigars that I'll have to post about sometime...

A little bit of a story to the pipe - it was a practice carving before starting an actual commission I had placed w/ an up and coming pipe carver named Clark Layton. He did a great job.

Tobacco is some 9yo tin I had stashed. Quite a bit of Turkish leaf in the blend. Smokes and tastes great...
