I’m super new to these lights , someone said I might need a driver or something? I’m still pretty lost and need a light real real soon just curious any help be much appreciated
Imho to get the light best suited for your uses the area and conditions it will be used in needs to be known. What size area are you going to be using it in, and do you run into heat or cold issues?
And then also the budget, how much are you willing to spend? A DIY or prebuilt light more up your ally?

To answer the first question, yes all led's will require a driver to power them.

@Deebs link pretty much delivers everything you should need to know about pairing the boards with a compatible & efficient driver.
As @JL2G touched on, there will be things to take into consider when getting a driver for your boards. Each driver delivers a different current/voltage which drives the boards harder or softer -both affecting light output (where space required to fill is important) and also how much heat the boards will put off once operating (room temp management is a consideration here).
