Turps greenhouse

Did a little more work on my small greenhouse this aft.
I finished up the second layer and installed the inflation blower. Probly won’t need the insulation till fall but the inflated second layer will hopefully absorb any hail this summer. I run a thermo actuated damper at the lower back for cooling air in and a furnace fan on the front top for air out run by a thermostat.
Light dep motors and plastic will go up soon.

First girl is one of my own chucks. Super lemon haze x orange sundae dust from
Heathen. Made a real nice stockey orange stinky plant. Trying out the dirt thang. Pro mix and home made worm poo worms and all. Been feeding them used chicken feed and frass from my meal worm farm. Not sure how it’s going to work out but it has lots of meal worm sheds. Chitin?

These are some autos I got some seed from an old friend. They ran some in the early 90s and kept a few seed. I did get a male and dusted these two girls. Little ragged they were inside and I think the one has some root issues. But they are ripening up some seed. Already shucked some and have 4 up ready to plant outside for the summer. Budzilla they called them LOL

Hears looking in the screen door. Camper heater on the right to keep Jack Frost at bay for the chilly nights. In the lower back is the thermo operated door for cool air in.

Tilts at Tables
some rain last few days?
Not this week. Was almost 2 weeks ago. Most people despise muggy weather. It is very unusual here.
My flowers were spoiled during week 3 and 4 with some damp stuff. Made a big difference. I rarely hit over 35% rh. My winter crops were crispy; between hot summers and dry winters , this one will hit that sweet spot. Looking at bumper crop.
This 4:20 filp works pretty handy for me. Crop comes off just before high summer. Mid-June filp gives me my next harvest in the first week of September !
Every parents dream !
After this school shut down, I will be due for a rasta stay-cation.

What strategies do you employ, to *maintain proper (amount of ) watering ?
I have read of the difficulties encountered with larger containers.
Yet, I also relate to aquariums and hydro res's, where smaller ones swing faster,,,
I am now thinking about how varied wind speed and sun intensity could really drive transpiration , consumption, and other needs.
How do you manage that ?

And I'm not letting them dry out totally. So for pretty easy They can go a couple days pretty easy without watering. I tend to be an overwaterer though.
Worked on my air in today. Made a hood and put a screen in it to keep insects out of the GH. Not sure how light proof it is will know once the dep is up.

Light dep is kicking my ass. 1" conduit. The aluminum conduit connectors weren't good enough to keep from bending and twisting. Welded them. Then my recycled grain bag material was too stretched and wrinkled, didn't roll up even. Great light blockage thou, may have to look for some new leftover material from a local yokel.
Tried 1.5 white plastic pipe. Saialage pit cover, too much flex in pipe and cover in not 100% light proof. Will test it though. Motor weight on the end makes it not roll up correct.
Going to try 1-3/8 chain link fence pipe. Dusk and don are pretty low light.

The original coupler on the end of the motor is 1-3/8 ID Didn't know chain link was that size till I started at the electrical supply place looking for conduit. I'm always a return customer if you give me tips on where to source goods if you don't have. Much respect for those type. Girls are needing the flip. Getting tall.
Just posting up my trial and error for peeps doing the same thing looking for ideas on how to.

Try looking at retractable awning tubing. It's quite robust, lightweight, and is compatible with most motor setups. Not exactly the cheapest, but the perfect material for the job.
Even look at finding a used setup someone's removed due to fabric replacement costs or such.

Thanks I think the chain link tube should work. It’s even tapered on one end. Quick weld and it should work.
Girls this am.
Sour BUbba is running out of food. I’m new to O-natural dirt so she’s getting some mega for now. Little low on N and cal by the look.

Just FYI, residential weight chain link top rail is 1 3/8" OD and is the standard you'll find at the big box stores. A lot of small supply houses only carry 1 5/8" OD because it covers more applications, so just make sure you ask if your shopping with the local guys.

Funny enough I'm a fence contractor. If you ever have questions on that stuff, like the tensile strength or wall thickness etc just let me know.

If you were nearby I'd hook you up with my wholesale discount!
