Thanks guys! I’m not sure if anyone knows how I harvest but it’s probably a bit different then most. And for sure more on the controversial side of things. So here is what i do. I hang dry them like so.. 455295E5-8B4C-4D2C-A72D-E645FA3838E5.jpeg
But only for 3-4 days max. As soon as the fan leaves are all droopy and starting to get crispy I go through and do a semi wet trim. Removing all buds from the stems. 32D47548-EA18-44DB-9EA9-3A42A5F03579.jpeg
Once that’s done I’ll go back through and manicure each bud making sure I remove as many fan and sugar leaves as possible. Then i will place all the buds from one Pheno into a paper bag and repeat with each all the previous steps with each pheno.

Once in the bag I shake the buds once a day and burp the bags every other day. For me I get a way more uniform dry and they seem to get their odor back faster this way for me than if I would just do a full plant hang for a week or more.

I’m getting an overwhelming pledge wood cleaner aroma from the Pheno in the bags above. It’s like earth/dirt and blooming plants, with a hint of chlorophyll, then this insane lemon/citrus chemical aroma hits your nose and it burns so good! I cannot wait to sample these ones.

I’m definitely like the F2s way more then the F1s. Shorter grow cycles, all around more hardy, I’m also getting a more uniformed crop compared to the f1 which I didn’t know what to expect from each plant. These F2s I can almost guarantee myself a nice hefty harvest of terpy, potent buds in under 90 days where with the F1 I wasn’t sure if I’d get an earthy short Pheno that would be ready in under 80 days but smoke terrible or a terpy frost monster with notes of chem and citrus that would tower over the other plants but take 120 days. So great job on the F2s @Twenty20 Adam yiu can tell a big difference in selection between these filials.

here is what the buds look like a few days in the bags before going into jars for a month.

The reason I use this method is because when I hang dry my plants for 7-10 days, by the time they are finished drying they smell very grassy and it takes a week before I even get the grassy smell out when I jar them from a whole plant hang.

But with this method as soon as I pull them out of the bags they are stinking to high heaven. Idk if in the bags it’s almost partially curing them because it’s closed and I only open the bag 1-3x max during the dry

Sold, I'll be brown bagging it this time. Thanks
Do brother! I read it one time on this forum and because of space I don’t really have the area to hang plants for 2 weeks so I tried this bag method on a whim to help with space and smell reduction. It worked so well for all those and kept my terps nice and potent that I haven’t done it any other way since.

Here is exactly what I do:

Step 1: cut plant and remove all big fan leaves

Step 2: hang plant in dry area for 1-3 days ( you can put them straight into the bags without hanging but I found it makes your buds all flat and ugly plus you will have to change your bag half way threw because of all the moisture it has retained) so I prefer to hang dry for 3 days usually

Step 3: buck partially dried plant. If you have big enough bags you don’t have to remove all the buds from the stems like I do you could just remove all the lateral branches from the main and stick them in the bag vertically with cut stem down so you don’t squish your top bud, what I do is I will actually do a quick trim and remove any fans or big leaves and cut each bud from the stem or make them into 4-6in sections then throw em in the bag.
*be sure to only put enough buds in the bag to completely cover the bottom or at most 2 layers.

Step 4: shake the bag 1-2x daily. I will open the bag up the first and second day to burp it and get some fresh air in.then I won’t open the bag up for a few days, or again until I’m going to jar the buds.

Step 5: shake the bag and listen/ feel how light it is. Or you can open it up and bend a bud if it snaps remove buds from bags do final trim and jar then bad buds up.

I tend to smoke a little of each while jarring and trimming. I cannot recommend this enough it’s essential to keeping it real…
