Greetings fellow Pheno Hunters! Just a quick update on the outdoor Snow G Auto's:
The bend went well, and throughout the week, the wire holding the top of the plant parallel was walked across the soil surface as the plant grew. Cana Bender was removed this afternoon, and no splits or kinks in the stem...whew!! As for the laggard Snow G Auto: it seems happy, but we're a month deep, and things aren't looking too promising....but I've been wrong many times before!

Hoping everyone has a good week. Stay positive out there!!!! IMG_20210808_183025806_HDR.jpg

very interested in this. been hearing how autos are all the rage and popped in to see what the fuss is about. gee they are starting to motor along
Frosty - thanks for checking things out. They're a little finicky at the start, but pretty carefree in the outdoor setting. Unimposing to have a couple tucked away in the yard. For us here in the desert southwest, getting an outdoor grow in from March through June is kind of nice, and tends to be pretty much pest free...

Greetings fellow Pheno Hunters! Just trying to stay consistent w/ the Sunday updates on the Outdoor Twenty20 Snow G Auto grow.

Really pleasant weather in the Sonoran Desert this past week. Plenty of rain, clouds, and consistent highs in the low 90's. Unusual for mid August, but the plants loved it.

The main Snow G took that major bend really well. A branch closest to the roots actually shot up to become the tallest, but was tucked down and looped to an eyelet on the growbag. It still fascinates how these plants react so immediately to stress and training.

As for the laggard...much improved! It's never going to catch up to our champion, but seems that all is not lost.

Hopefully the heatwaves and wild weather aren't messing with everyone too much. Feeling really positive about the coming Fall. Happy growing everybody!!!

Greetings, and good evening fellow Pheno Hunters!

Instead of a Sunday update, I would like to solicit your advice and or opinions....

My 2nd Snow G Auto that seemed to be going nowhere is showing some promise of not being a zero. I really do believe it was slowed down by the extreme heat early on.

I'm posting a photo below. The seed was planted very off center in the grow bag to accommodate the bend that I enjoy bestowing upon pretty much everything... ?

In looking at the Jr. Snow G and recognizing it's limited potential, my questioni is Would you still bend it over?

I'm really on the fence, and would appreciate the input.

p.s. We're at approx day 45

If it is done growing vertically and the branches not getting any longer and just pushing buds out then I would leave her be and let her finish like that. At day 45 she's done stretching and now working on calyx development. Looks nice for such a tiny plant though!

Greetings Fellow Pheno Hunters! Time for a grow journal update on the outdoor Twenty20 Snow-G Auto. Today is day 54 above ground. We had a heat resurgence this week, with a high of 107Β°F for a couple days. No real issues, but you can see the straggler plant (pictured last) is a little stressed....still unbent, though, thanks to @jpockets420 advice. All in all, the plants in the back yard are well. Even added a few random seedlings to finish out the year. Intending to post anything interesting that developes in the Let’s see outdoors 2021 thread.

Hope everything grows well this week for everyone....and that the caterpillars keep away. Seeing LOTS of moths and butterflies, which makes me nervous....?

Been delinquent in updating the Outdoor Twenty20 Snow G Auto, but everything is ok. There hasn't been much to report, except heat and insects....lol! Snapped a few pics on Wednesday (Day 71). Things are starting to fade out. Will start watching those trichomes soon. Aroma is fruits, with no fuel at this point.
