I came across this technique a couple weeks ago and decided to try it out. It seems simple but understandably also realize it comes with higher contamination risk, especially with using spores.
I inoculated two bags of uncle bens instant brown rice.
The bags come with rice that is fully cooked, sterilized and plenty of moisture. You just basically sanitize the bags and prep material, inject spores, tape hole with paper tape/micropore then make some holes for gas exchange covered with paper tape.
Let that sit till mycelium is established then you can fruit in bag or move to container. Im gonna go into container with coco coir. Its a high likelihood hood that these attempts will fail but ill try again then try some jars.
The bags are golden teachers and stargazers. Stargazers are smaller mushies an old/ancient variety that shaman probably ingested hundreds of years ago.
Theyre in a humidity dome in a cabinet were they will be left alone for a couple weeks before I check for mycelium/contamination.
