Man I'm just waiting on LC syringes and I'll be ready to rock, got 14 bags of rice 10 6qt shoebox tubs and all the stuff to make some CVG I had it all on hand already lol coco,vermiculite, and gypsum I'm just unsure if the water soluble gypsum is usable or not, still doin a ton of info sponging, went with the JMF and PE in the cultures, definitely planning on doing some agar work as well it all looks like fun to me, I'm sure tissue culture will follow too ??? again thanks for sharing and lighting my fuse on another awesome hobby

I found the .15 gram range just seemed to enlighten things a bit. Not tripping or anything close but its like your senses heightened. Like watching my 1044k TV seemed more 3d than it should.

its almost like everything is 5k LED lit. Crisp.

up to about .25 grams :D just elevates the day a bit, very nice.

I'm definitely in need of opinions on an idea ive got, would putting a 4 in hepa filter on my ac fan and pressurizing my tent with the lower flap furthest from the work area open essentially be like a giant clean room id imagine most of the particulate in the space would be blown out the open vent flap, I'm worried about contaminants and mostly wasted time lol was also thinking about ducting the air into glove box minus the gloves that way it would be pressurizing the tent and giving me a half ass directional flow device just smoking dabs and spitballing ideas around my head while I wait for the spores to show up, anyone got any thoughts on this possible setup

I didn't do anything but clean area up real good and spraying lysol spray. I used the corner of my kitchen so it was easier to clean, mostly hard surfaces.

Since you're only poking a pin size hole and then sealing right away with micropore tape its not too bad.

When you transplant to coco once bags colonize then that air setup is probably a good idea though. Just to add to your protection from contamination. Im just not sure about proper set up for an air box. Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in.

This is almost exactly what I was picturing

but with a ducted ac infinity feeding it, 4in or 6 in depending on airflow needed hepa on the fan intake with a nice pre-filter, run to the box on a table on one end of the tent, then the center vent at the bottom open on the other end should evacuate most all the airborne shit in the tent especially if it runs for a while before getting started, and I may be able to do the uv in the tent with one of my lights from the room just for extra measure lol I'm sure its not needed for most of the stuff I'm gonna do but for agar it's gonna have to happen, and I was immediately hooked hard when I found out how easy it is to isolate stuff, then work it out kinda like a bx in the canna side of things, already looking at trying out some lions mane as well i already got a ton of wood pellets ???? this is a very attractive rabbithole ???

Here's another super easy option - Unmodified Still Air Box

You just practice good sanitation, and hang that box over the edge of your workspace to reach underneath.
Worked for me, but I've only done it once....?

I haven't cut any holes in the tote yet I may be way over thinking but 90sec mycology has said a thousand times you can never be too sterile ??? ill more than likely do my first inoculations in the sab tote first as I don't have a hepa filter yet I'll just do it in the tent so it's a box in a box, I do have a horrible habit of overthinking these types of things lol hopefully the product will help level me out a bit my mind feels like a 6 lane highway at rush hour sometimes

OK buddy, I hope you scratch that itch, and post some pics. I grew about 2 oz of Golden Teachers and enjoyed them immensely. They hit my gut pretty hard and so I always keep a few Gas-X pills handy. I was trying to talk to God, but, I got put on hold.
Oh yeah, the next day, my face hurt from laughing and smiling too much!
Years ago, a great friend and I ate about a half oz on a cheap pizza, and proceeded to watch 2 full length Frank Zappa vids, Babby snakes and ?, I felt muscles in my face {from laughing} for the next 2 days! I'd pay large to experience that again!

I'll be glad to start dumping pics and tek soon as I get started, the stuff shipped today so I'll be working on an incubation tote here shortly then my still air box, and lookin like I'm definitely gonna try some oysters and lionsmane as well, with ww3 on the brink growing food that requires no light could be valuable ?????, and if lionsmane really tastes like lobster or crab I'll be a happy camper as I can't afford to eat seafood as much as I love it, plus it's not exactly fresh by the time it gets to okkahoma, we're lacking in the ocean department???

Setup a makeshift sealed clean room in the drying tent after repeated scrubbing then wiping with lysol and then iso, then placed the still airbox inside the tent, tent is in a pretty well sealed central room in the house so hopefully contam won't be a huge issue but I'm sure ill get some,, should have a hepa here next week to start playing with some positive pressure in the spot well with an ac infinity 6in behind it, also got My gourmet lc syringes in the mail yesterday, so its gonna be on and poppon Tuesday when I recover from work ???

I might be coming out of pocket here. But I have a legitimate question. Why does the environment need to be so sterile to grow mushies?? Didn't magic shrooms originally grow on cow shit in nature?? That don't sound sanitary/sterile to me at all... But I still want them, lol! So, again, why does the grow environment need to be so sterile/clean.

Could make the same argument for child birth. Hospital vs natural/old school... It can, and had been done, both ways, I wouldn't say one is better than the other, but maybe preferred for personal preference, but nothing more... Sorry I'm rambling nonsense?

It's mainly just the innoculation part that has to be super clean, that way your only growin what you want in your grains, otherwise you'd never get anything to grow as the shit in the grains would out compete it, and I guess it's area dependant lol we had cows and horses for years out here and I've never seen one and not from lack of looking either ??? to be a tad more specific you really only need sanitary conditions when they are being birthed ie innoculation, and infant stage ie colonization of grains, they are good once established but are like a baby with no immune system at the early stages very easily contaminated growing them ie fruiting out is pretty much cut em open and they're off to the races much less worry in the latter stages, and for the record I'm just regurgitating what I've researched lol my first grains are 3 days in and I'm just patiently waiting for something to happen now ✌✌
