UV strip lighting

I know the title of the thread is referencing UV strip lights, guessing the LED type.
This is not that...
The fixture:
Amazon product

And the lamp:

But it is what I chose to go with.
I felt for the cost and the amount of UV in the proper spectrum that it provided, that it was my best option.
I cannot confirm or deny that it was indeed the best option, as I have not put that light in service yet.
I just wanted too through that out there in case you were unaware of this type of tube.

Hope you find that you are looking for.
Cheers,

great info -myself going to switch to UV at the end of week 4 -- have 8 week flower times !!! your thread does "shed" some light on UV use Seems like most LED now-a-days come with this option UV (on/off) switch - if UV was not very important the option wouldn't be on led's ?? !!!

I picked up the Solarsystem UVB for $97 shipped from California Light Works. I've just got to figure out what cycling timer I'm going to use. Damn, I wish AC Infinity had an integrated controller like the 67 but it allowed the use 110v plugs, instead of just their equipment. I really like the cycle feature on that unit & I can change settings from my tablet & monitor VPD etc.

I've got mine on an Apollo digital, the one with 8 settings and I just busted it into 4 sessions throughout the on cycle, at 3 ft the plants loved it even at 4 hours a day
Damm, I had no idea you could run it that long. I was planning to cycle it for a couple minutes an hour until week 6 then slowly increase it to 15 minutes an hour. What cycle would you recommend for me to start out with? I'm currently running Indica dominant plants in that tent, finishing their first week of flower.

My unscientific, hillbilly light test.
Same variety, phenotype, same age, lighting, soil etc. The one under the California Light works UV-B has significantly more frost (Top picture) I'm using a pulse timer set to 30 minutes off, then 7 minutes on, throughout lights on. Height is set @ 24" above canopy. I just picked up another one of these for my smaller flower tent, and do some experiments with timing.

This is only my second run with em, so I just started at 4 15 min sessions and I'll ramp up 15 mins a session till it hits an hour or they start to freak out, and another plus I've noticed is combining the uvb with lowered Temps and a nice swing in my day night Temps the colors have been a lot more pronounced vs what I'm used too, this go will be my first time hitting em for more than 10 days as well so I'm still taking notes as well

Good deal. I'm currently using a cycle timer in the one tent and will probably set the other UV-B to ramp up like you are doing. I haven't seen any negative issues I could attribute to the light, only my usual overfeeding lol.
