Hashpile 2 is very close. 20221014_091147.jpg 20221014_091214.jpg 20221014_101814.jpg 20221014_101829.jpg
It's a race against gravity. Not bad for no support. Possible chop next weekend.

Jenny is not far behind. 20221014_091013.jpg 20221014_091037.jpg 20221014_101607.jpg 20221014_101829.jpg
Thinking I misplaced my loupe as I can't seem to find it. Had it in my shirt pocket the other day before prepping the new 2x4 raised bed... I can use the phone for ripeness but need the scope for ipm.

This is a big part of what I am working on with my chucks. Eventually I am going to take the deck of cards I have been working with making f1s of and find the velvety sweet doughy green self supported phenos to work down the line. The Neville's Haze seems to have contributed and I think the Nepal Highland will too, I just need to work those into the mix. I think that Hashpile 2 is close to what I am looking for, I want a little more lime green and we'll have to see how she smokes but sure I putting off a sweet note. Glad I kept it.
View attachment 139212 Suckers praying hard, extraspecially so late in flower.
She must be hella happy, to be looking so fresh.

,,,Perhaps caught some eleventh hour religion?
She just prays it don't snow tonight !
Yeah, I'll credit BuildASoil, no black magic chicanery. I wanna say the last top dress was August? I like it in the indoor beds too, the 3x3 won't get reammended for this next run, plan is one top dress after transplant, flip and let it ride.

Zerotol HC foliar today.
First application but I think this stuff will stay around. The gallon was ~$55, mix rate is ~1.5T/gal depending on application. I think it will be good to apply before taking cuttings as well as adding it to the list of rotating cleaners. This was just done as a preharvest treatment no pressure identified. I'll do at least one more in the next few days.

We didn't hit 50F today but 60s are in the forecast, slight chance of rain next weekend which wouldn't be the worst thing as long as it isn't windy.

I probably won't do a wash on these unless we get a wind event/heavy dust/pollution/smoke, that's why I wanted to try the zerotol.

Close, very close, Jenny has put the pedal down hard and even, top to bottom each cola is remarkably unoform ripeness. Hashpile 2 has decided to slow down and enjoy the view. Fine by me, looking like one chop day for the both of them!

28F overnight, heavy frost and the hose froze.
It was about 45F when these pics were taken, probably 10-15 degrees warmer in the cold frame.

Hashpile 4 - praying for snow¿?

Hashpile 1 has purple petioles, fatter blades and it seems like more 7 blade vs 5 blade on hashpile 2. The bud looks fatter and more color too, but still looks like a pita to trim. It is barely standing, same for TTLT x 7 Hills 2 which is real similar in every way to to TTLT x 7 Hills 1. Twinklehawk is staying green but is way underdeveloped because she was not put out here in a healthy state.

The white spots on the pics above are residual botinigard and maybe grandevo.

The cold frame is holding up well, stayed above 50F overnight and it looks like things should warm up a bit as the week goes on.

Hashpile 3 is just stubborn, she gets maybe an hour of broken sun in the morning, the is shaded for much of the day until she gets a few hours in the evening. I am gonna pull the strawberries later this fall and will plant some cannabis there next year.

Good morning Jenny
20221022_091125.jpg
Chopped Hashpile 2 a few days ago but looks like I forgot to log it. It was an impulse chop, it got dry (rh <11%) and windy the last few days. Jenny had an unsupported branch flop so I cut it off as a sample.

Seems she has adjusted somewhat to the cold, vpd? what's that?

I think she was underwatered because I didn't have enough drippers set up and they were too close to stalk and sensor carrot. Had to remove the blumat system a while back due to freezing temps. Been handwatering at sunset to try to keep the ground a little warmer too.

Forecast bump in humidity Sunday, due to scheduling I will chop Jenny on Monday, wish I could let her go another week but it's not in the cards.

I've stopped watering the extras and will let the die on the vine and return to earth. Hashpile 3 and 4 will be left to their own devices for a few days, mid November at the earliest possible for chop on those.

Once these plants are down that will be the end of regular updates to this thread. I'll probably stick with the Valley View theme when I start up next year's outdoor.

Windy af today, front rolling in. Blew most of the removable panels off the cold frame this morning. Luckily it was only in the 40's but it looks pretty much like the remaining unsupported branches on Jenny have flopped. Chop is tomorrow so I just bandaided shit together and splashed some water on the floor to bump rh.

Made a quick run up to Hashpile 4 with shears, steak and ties thinking the worst...

ended up just splashing some water on her. Prevailing wind is generally from the opposite direction

Couldn't agree more on both counts.

Chopped the top. It was 26F.
Hashpile 3 probably go straight to compost. Don't be sad.

Jenny got chopped too. Fleece London and puffy jacket are standard harvest gear right?

She got some pine needles blown in on her but those are easy enough to pick out. Held at 36F most of the evening but bottomed at 32F.

Just gotta bring home the bacon now with dry and cure.

This is where I want your humidity. Keeping a stable environment here is quite fun for much of the year. It's just like maintaining another grow space tho.

Snowing pretty good right now, mid to upper 20's for much of the day. Hashpile 3 already had some frost damage on the fan leaves but the buds were looking ok as of yesterday.

20221027_085646.jpg
Tomorrow should be warmer, the snow might just give enough insulation, tomorrow is a decision point. If it were anywhere close to done I'd consider hashing it today.

Curious to see how the rest of Hashpile 4 is doing too but guessing I will have to come up with a different entry for NOV POTM lol.
