1 more male from 7/19 batch removed last night.

Males currently segregated for pollen:
2 Sweet Sow
3 Space Pigs
1 Pigs in a Blanket
1 Punch Mittens
2 Mango Hashplant
1 Dread Bread

My Space Pigs are 3/3 male, so I'll have to find a female in the remaining beans in the future.

Last 8 Freak plants added to bloom.

9/8- Added to tent 2 from outside that just weren't flowering for shit. Looked about 2 weeks along, if that.
They should act properly from here on out, with better light time.
1 Bastard Runtz, 1 Cakefighter cross by Bad Dawg. Either Mendo Cookies or Wedding Cake mom x Cakefighter.

Pigs crosses are coming along decent, for the stresses they've battled through. I don't even think they've hermied, but I'll have to wait til harvest, and see if any unknown seeds pop up.

Next round(s) will be a handful, I'm sure. The only thing I'm not looking forward to, is choosing what to start first.
I can't wait to see the diversity of genetics and their expressions though!

9/10 or so...Did a little late (at least 5/6 wks) pollenation of my Punch Mittens and Sweet Sows for F2s..

9/13- Soaked 5/10 "Llanera" aka Colombian Black preservation run beans, courtesy of @Deebs
Since my last fail with the Afghans, I'm just trying to start half for now, and if they crack, I'll start the rest.

As for the rest of this round...I've still gotta lotta narrowing down to do...

Got some Freak Garlic Breath testers just itchin to break free of their "jewelry bags" heheh
Let alone the rest of my Pigs testers, to give them a better life the next go round...
This round has done great against every stress I gave them, but I didn't get cuts or seeds of them, and I should with the last few beans.

Got some funky Zombified shit from @M48 to add to the mix...

Then there's a bunch of pleasant surprises that accompanied the Llaneras, illustrated in the pic below at the bottom of the post...

Last but not least, I have a bunch of my own latest crosses that I haven't tried.
Why, oh why ...can't I just have like 100 gallon containers, and 100 gallons of soil ready to start everything??

Oh well...The Colombians are already swimming, so there's no turning back for them now...Updates to follow with the rest of the new round soon...

Anyone see anything in the pic I should jump on sooner than later? I don't know about most of them, but most seem really intriguing!
The orange vial, I believe, is Afghaan 90 preservation beans that were done by someone here. They're labeled "A90", I'm just waiting on verification from Deebs.
(Edit: Just got word- A90= RSC Afghan 90 x USC Black Afghani)

The Preservation / surprise haul:

All 5 Llanera aka Colombian Black popped in paper, and are ready for dirt. They'll be planted today, and the last 5 will start soaking.
Once they're above ground, I'll start a journal in the preservation section.

I think I've narrowed down my next round(s) of beans as well.
I'll start 4 of each of the Afghaan 90 x Black Afghan, and @Jim Dandy 's Gwniver (Blueberry x Tashkurgan) for some Afghan in the mix. Any info / reports on these, Jim?

Next, when I find / clean enough containers, I'll start soaking a few of the following:

Freak Genetics- Grape Marmalade x Garlic Breath
Freak Genetics- Sour Banana x Garlic Breath
First 48 Genetics- Dawn of the Dead (Sunshine OG x Zombified)
First 48 Genetics- Tropical Zombie (Tropical Runtz x Zombified)
First 48 Genetics- Zombie Cuntz (Bizcuntz x Zombified)
Personal Chuck- Pillow Book x Spring Training
Personal Chuck- Wedding Cake x Orange Julius

Hopefully they'll all be around the same age, and crosses will be made, depending on which show as male, and what sound like fun combinations.

Pro-Tip, if you're gonna grow Freaky G's gear, TAKE CUTS?

Yeah, I hear ya! I got cuts of my first Freak gear saved (Watermelon Delight and Don Johnson) and need to take more now that they're ready to flower again.
I didn't get any cuts of my Pigs stuff, but I still have a few beans left to try again, and possibly some F2s coming.
I wanted to pop a few new Pigs again this round, but I have those Garlic Breath testers to give a shot.
Too damn many beans, not nearly enough containers or light! lol

Everything soaked was put in paper towel after maybe 24 hrs, today. As of a minute ago, I think they're all cracked.
They'll be ready for planting tomorrow. Time to find containers for more pops!
First 5 Colombians are up and going, stretching their first serrated leaves @ about 30hrs since planting...

The Colombian and Afghan beans are all planted.
Because I waited an extra day, most were completely out of their shells, trying to open cotyledon in the towels.
The cotyledon were all still pale, and hadn't greened yet, but the Gwniver (Blueberry x Tashkurgan) had blueish hues from the leaves down the stem about 1/8" .
Not that it necessarily means anything one way or another, but maybe there will be some interesting BB qualities to them...

1 of the original 5 Colombians got a bit stretchy and top heavy, and folded over on itself overnight.
I staked them all up so it doesn't happen to the others, but coming back from a crimp this early can be tough.
Keeping fingers crossed that it pulls through, hoping for 10/10, but at least they're starting off strong for the most part, compared to my attempt with the last Afghan preservation I tried lol

Everything popped, and broke ground.

1 Colombian from the initial group dampened off, but was supported, and is still alive so far.
1 Colombian from the second group dampened off, was supported, but wilted and died as of this morning. RIP lil one
The last Colombian from the second group finally broke ground overnight.
So, tentatively, we have 9/10 Colombian Blacks above ground and alive, at time of writing this.

4/4 Gwniver (Blueberry x Tashkurgan) up and running
4/4 Afghaan 90 x Black Afghan up and running

Just need to round up another 28 containers or so for the next 7 strains I wanna start...ugh...

Believe it or not, we're still 10/10 *live* Colombian Blacks!
(The Afghans are still moving along fine and dandy as well.)
The 2 dampened off CB seedlings are noticeably smaller, with their strangled stems, but they persevere.
I had fleeting thoughts of taking "clones" of these seedlings (snipping them at healthy stem point, and replanting) to give them a "better chance", but then reminded myself how much better they do with less intervention sometimes.

Pigs stuff should be coming down soonish, and I just wanna start more!
My samples are nowhere near perfect...As a matter of fact, I'll guarantee they're the most stress tested I've seen here!
They've battled through Mites, Mildew, Gnats, Drought, Flood, Root Algae, 6oz containers, 1k HPS @ 1ft away, etc...
I'd show pics, but I don't wanna give you big bad gardeners nightmares :ROFLMAO:

Despite their hardships, I've seen no obvious nanners yet, and they've got real interesting mixes of sweet and savory / funky scents. They're still relatively frosty, and still wanna go purple / black- PIB and Sweet Sow particularly.
My Hog Jams stayed more green, all things considered.
Space Pigs were all male so far.

Obviously, everyone else's plants will turn out much better than my first round, but, like I say, that's why I can't wait to pop what I have left of mine....
Somewhere between the Garlic Breath testers...And the First 48 stuff....and My chucks....and more new stuff...and more...and more...and...
...I may have a seed problem...or a weed problem...or a never-having-enough-of-either kinda problem...

Alright, that's about enough outta me.
Nighty night!

Don Johnson, Watermelon Delight, Orange Julius, Pillow Book BS, GMO BS added to bloom.

Pigs and Bodhi stuff coming down next.

*BS is Bag Seed

There's also a few outdoor testers that I'll update with pics later.
