I love the structure on the terp x gow's. They look like they would go beast mode outside. I had good results 2 yrs ago with terpenado. Really liked the strawberry milk influence on the strawberry unicornn this year as well. IME the strawberry milk brings a lot of resin to the crosses it is in.

I love the structure on the terp x gow's. They look like they would go beast mode outside.

Terp x GOW #2 is one of my favorites from the group. (without smoke testing yet of course. They're all 2 week whole plant drying so I haven't tried any yet to evaluate.) #2 is the one I refer to as "window breaking." I know it's hard to tell from pics, but #2 pictured above is the tallest of the group as well. It's pushing 5' in that little 1/2 gallon pot.

I had good results 2 yrs ago with terpenado.

I haven't experienced Terpenado by itself. These seeds were gifted to me by another fellow grower. He was testing Terpenado for Bodhi along with some other Bodhi strains. He was going to pull some males for pollen collection but didn't pull them soon enough and they accidentally pollinated some of his garden. He received Bodhi's blessing to distribute those seeds and he ended up sending me some from both Terpenado and Moontang. We're unsure who's pollen donated to these. It's one of two potential fathers. The boys in the room were another Terpenado and a Goji OG x Sunshine Daydream. So without knowing for certain, these seeds he gifted me I named Terpenado Mystery and Moontang Mystery.

Moontang Mystery was used in my Himalayan Moontang (mom), and Moon Dragon (dad)
Terpenado Mystery (mom) was used in all my Terp pairings.

Here's some updated photos from this last harvest. It's a lot of pictures since there's quite a few to cover so it'll probably take a few posts.

Hyper Dragon x God O War
Pheno #2 - Sorry for the pinched topped. By the time I got around to taking pictures, this was the last nugget.

A quick end of 2020 update:

Main Project: Old School Genetics
I've been diligently hunting through some Zamal/Malawi/Thai and other sativas looking for parental stock to pair with my '97 Super Silver Haze mom. Schwaggy P knew what my goals were heading into this project and he graciously gifted me Shantibaba's cut of SSH. If you're familiar with SSH, this particular cut took home first place at the '97, '98, and '99 High Times Cannabis Cup. My project goal for this particular cross is creating a soaring, no ceiling, long lasting, psychedelic effect. While I am entertaining the Zamal/Malawi and not ruling it out, I'm focusing more effort into the Zamal and more specifically the Zamal/Thai. This project will be ongoing as I test a few different selected males until a definitive winner has been chosen. There is a tremendous amount of work that is going into this project. I'd expect an f1 release date sometime in late 2021 or early 2022.

Side Project: New School Genetics
This is something that was unexpected and is emerging as something that's beginning to feel quite special. What started out as me fucking around out of curiosity and wanting to play with some genetics before I let them go has turned into something nothing short of amazing. I always expected these to stay in house and I certainly never expected these to become actual project work, but here we are. I started off with a small sample size looking into six of the seven new crosses.

1. BCK (Phylex Cut) x God O War - Strong BCK influence amongst most of the progeny. Very sativa, clear headed, uplifting high. Worth a revisit, but no ETA.

2. BCK (Phylex Cut) x Pandemic - Strong BCK influence amongst most of the progeny. Pandemic did as was expected adding berry, and sweet to the profile and adding body to the stone. Again, this would be worth a revisit, but no ETA as I have more pressing projects.

3. Terpenado Mystery x God O War - Similar to BCKxGOW, this provided a sativa, clear headed, happy, and uplifting high. I found what looks to be an outstanding male. (testing needs to confirm) I'm currently using my selected female to make f2's and also bx1's for future exploration. No ETA on when I'll dive into the f2's or Bx's. I am keeping my selected female & male around in the meantime.

4. Terpenado Mystery x Pandemic - This one ended up with a lot more body and mental confusion. This particular cross always left me with lost days and an intense morning after hang over. I never found a decent male nor did I keep any females. This would definitely be worth another look and deserving of project time. But I don't have an ETA as I have plenty on my plate for quite awhile.

The undisputed, undeniable winners moving forward from these pet projects.

5. HD x Moontang Mystery a.k.a. Moon Dragon - These were just absolutely beautiful plants. Strong mental and body effects. They were absolute winners. I also found what appears to be an exceptional stud. Currently my selected females are being f2'd and BX'd. But I also plan to eventually dedicate another f1 run in the short term. I want to hunt through this line further and look for an outlier and or ensure I'm making the best selection possible for this particular cultivar considering everything I've found so far was from a small sample size.

6. HD x God O War - This one in particular really shook me. This cultivar has a story at almost every point of its existence. It’s nothing short of a fairy tale if this one comes to fruition. I only ended up with 12 mature seeds from this pairing so I've only popped four to date. Of those four, all four so far are keepers. #1 is a stellar male. He's a strong replica of his mother. A heavy Sour Kush leaning phenotype with natural purple coloring. The females are vastly different and unique. #2 has much skinnier leaves, an open, Christmas tree structure, and a frost factor that will go toe to toe with the best of them. She could be the smallest yielder of the three females. #3 appears to fall somewhere in the middle. She's has the vigorous lateral side branching, but her internodal spacing is tighter and she's bushier. She covers herself in trichomes and appears to be the larger yielder of the three. #4 is another replica of her mother. #4 is the f'2 that I'm the most excited to see considering the #1 male appears to be identical. #4 has fat, indica Dom leaves, dense kush foliage, larger calyx floral structure, and natural purple coloring. She along with her sisters are all being f2'd and BX'd. I'm also planning to hunt through the rest of these f1 genetics next and see what else I can find in the remaining seeds. I plan to work this particular cross the most along with the Moon Dragon shortly behind it.

7. HD x Celestial Ghost - I forgot about these entirely and I didn't pop any. However, my oversight didn't go in vain as @Gentlemancorpse stood in for me and popped some on my behalf. If you've noticed a theme here, the HD crosses surprised even myself and rose to the top. For this reason alone, I've come to believe there's a high probability HD x CG is going to produce some special genetics. Case in point - Moon Dragon. Moon Dragon is proving to be a badass pairing. The father I selected in Moon Dragon was from a Ghost Train Haze cross I made. The selected father I used in HD x CG is from a different Ghost Train Haze cross I made. Both pairings have the same mom, and 25% coming from the same dad. The only difference is I used an Indica Dom in the remaining 25% genetics for Moon Dragon, while the remaining genetics in CG are sativa.

About to go into flower: Skunky D by @Schwaggy P

And here's a shot of the new veg light I built a little while back. They're 4000k 97cri Citizen 1212's. I'm using a 300w Meanwell driver and they're built on a 3x3 frame for my 4x4 tent.

Who are you and where the hell did you come from?
While watering today and taking some pics for this post, look at what mystery I came across. I'm truly stumped. There is zero chance this came from a rogue seed. This little sprout appeared in the pot with Moon Dragon male clone. They've been in these pots with the same soil for about 6-8+ weeks. In that time, no seeds have been popped nor any possibility of entering this space. It really is a mystery.

This about sums up what I've been working on. It’s been a perpetual cycle of hunting and testing. It's an ongoing process, but the wait will be well worth it. Once my males are proven and selected, hang on. I've only scratched the surface of what I have planned in this update. Great things are on the horizon.

I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy. Have a wonderful New Year!

Kind regards

I definitely think your onto something with the Hyper Dragon crosses. The HD x CG has been an absolute dream to grow on top of producing some really beautiful buds. I essentially wound up with 3 different phenos. Structurally #1 and #2 look almost identical but the buds have filled in very differently... one is small and super dense, the other has filled in more and is little airier, but also much frostier. The third female seems to be more sativa leaning and is a shaggy bush but still barely stretched. I have nothing but good things to say about this cross and I can't wait to sample it.

I greatly appreciate the feedback you're providing. A quick story; The HD female was a wildly unique, beautifully ugly mutant. With so many different characteristics that would be easy to spot, I decided I wanted to chuck some pollen at her before I let her go. My initial intention was an in-house experiment to see what crazy, ugly, uniquely looking plant I could create. If there ever was something that stood out to me the most that needed to be improved upon, it was her flower structure. Her flower structure was gorgeous, but it was very airy and it almost seemed hollow. It was very misleading. I was hoping to add some "meat" or substance with these particular crosses. So finding one a little "airy" doesn't surprise me to hear. Fortunately, I have yet to come across this with the Moon Dragon's. I'm still evaluating the HD x GOW's but #3 and #4 don't appear they'll have that issue and #2 is a completely different floral structure all together.

So after a brief discussion, @Gentlemancorpse let me in on a name he and his significant other have been calling the HDxCG. Not only is it a fitting name, but it's even more fitting that he's come to name it since he's the first to explore these genetics. Moving forward, I'll be referring to the HDxCG by it's new name; Kokusho. I'll let gentlemancorpse explain how Kokusho got its name if he chooses to do so. I appreciate you greatly brother. Thank you

Im honored to give this strain a name! I'm happy to share its origins, but I have to admit I'm curious if anyone will recognize it lol. I know there's some other nerds on this forum.
