Garden Update:

I wanted to get more out of this footprint so I built a bench for my veg tent.
IMG_6523.jpeg

We have some training going on in there as well.
Bondage.121.jpeg

Some of the Skunky D's are nestled under the HPS and beginning flower. The rest are flowering under COB's and Quantum Boards.
IMG_6568.png

This is Durban #1 at day 51 - She has a sweeter, fruity, candy smell. I accidentally hit these pretty hard, but everything has since been corrected.
Durban1.jpeg

Durban #2 on Day 51 - This one smells like pink cotton candy. If I decide on going the "sweeter" route with these, this one is my favorite so far.
Durban2.jpeg

Durban #3 isn't pictured. I guess I forgot to take her photo during my spasmatic photo session. #3 isn't like the others with the sweeter candy profiles. #3 has this Pine, slightly skunkish aroma. Because of this different profile, she is my other front runner. I still need to sample these and test each ones effect before I decided who I'm keeping if any.

Durban #4 day 51 - She's another sweet candy girl.
Durban4.jpeg

Chem 91 S1 #3 - She oddly has no aroma or I can't find it.

Here's some Zamaldelica canopy shots in early flower
IMG_6536.jpeg

IMG_6538.jpeg

IMG_6539.jpeg

Here's a few different Zamaldelica's in flower, day 51. I expect them to go 84-98 days. Out of nearly 30, these are my front running females.

#11 - powerful menthol
IMG_6540.jpeg

#8 - Spicy, Minty, Complex - She has been my girl from sprout. I was actually hoping she would be my male, but here we are with a girl. All of the seedlings were surprisingly uniform early on except this one. She was the outlier and exactly what I was looking for in this hunt. She's an elusive Thai dom. She didn't show sex until about day 21 and I expect she's going to finish around 14 weeks.
IMG_6543.jpeg

#6 - Minty - I have better 'mints' and 'menthols' - So she probably won't make the cut. But I don't rule anything out at this juncture until I can test all of their effects.
IMG_6544.jpeg

#4 Sweeter Mint, slight menthol, frostier and appears she's going to possibly be the biggest yielder. She's one of my top contenders.
IMG_6545.jpeg

#7 Stronger pine, finishes sweet - This one caught my eye early on and she's still around for evaluating.
IMG_6546.jpeg

Some ladies were culled and others are just beginning flower. The males that were selected are waiting for their second round of testing.

I realized it’s been a few since I dropped in, I read through your 2020 in review last night and I think it’s safe to say i was a wild ride for all of us and yet still a productive one. I wanted to say thank you for letting me be a part of your projects. I have learned so much from all you guys in such a short time. I don’t believe the amount of nuance in the posts here at pHenohunter is rivaled anywhere else on the internet. With so much turbulence in the real world, pH provides me a sort of stability that keeps me hopeful for the future, you have played a big part of that. I look forward to more of the same in 2021. Again, thanks brother.

While I’m here I wanted to share some of what I’m seeing and smelling from 9lb BB #1 this morning. First and most importantly, I’m smelling ALL of the blueberries. It’s very pronounced. No sign of intersex on either of the 2 plants I’m running. I glance over them at least once or twice a day so I’m pretty confident no anthems have slipped by me. I also can see a bit what looks like 9lb influence as well. Both #1 and #2 seemed to want to branch off with a bunch of little bud sites, so next round I’m going to try to Top and strip a bit more methodically to pull some bigger colas. Trichrome production is up there, so I expect the medicinally aspect to be on par with all of the other 9lb crosses I’ve worked with if not better since my equipment is improving. Ill get some shots of #2 in a few at lights on for comparison.

Water Only, Organic Gardening

I was planning to add this once I felt I really dialed it in and I was confident I didn't need to tweak anything. But since I recently typed something else out for another thread, I figured I'd just add this now. So here's some copy and paste from what I left in another thread.

I'm not sure about measurements or everything you added, I'm also not an expert as I just recently switched to 'water only' organic gardening, but I'll leave the recipe I started out using as it seems to be working well so far. (I'm still learning it and plan to tweak it a bit as I go.)

1 cubic foot = 7.5 gallons

1 cubic foot base mix
2.5 gallons Sphagnum Peat - (I use Pindstrup Blonde. It's PH'd to 6 and has some nutrients.) - This could also be substituted with soil you already have on hand.
2.5 gallons Steer Manure - (Can substitute with EWC - Earth Worm Castings)
2.5 gallons Aeration. (I use a 50/50 mix for this of Pumice and Vermiculite)
1/4 cup Mykos Extreme (granule not powder)

I water with plain, ph'd water @ 6.2ph. Once every 7-10 days, I'll add 1 tbs of recharge per 5 gallons of water and water with that.

I don't need to add anything to the substrate for 3-4 weeks. When I do, this is what I do

I top dress with Dr. Earth at a rate of two tbs per gallon.

For veg, I decided on using their 4-4-4 - So vegging plants get this top dressed at two tbs. per gallon every 3-4 weeks.

If feeding comes at or near flip, they receive 1 tbs of 4-4-4 and 1 tbs of Dr. Earth Flower girl for transition (1 feeding)

3-4 weeks later when they need to be fed again, they receive 2 tbs. of Flower Girl per gallon. That will usually take most stains through finish.

Notes to add:
(Not necessary) I've also started foliar feeding about once per week. I'm using a mix of Kelp and Aloe Vera

What I haven't tried and plan to add in my next mix is Barley and Kelp. I plan to add 1 cup of kelp and 1/2 cup of freshly ground 2 row barley to the 1 cubic foot mix.

Again, I'm not an expert and I'm new to this as well. This is just what I've come up with after a lot of hours of researching and formulating my own opinions. It seems to be working well so far and I'm thoroughly happy with the switch. I hope something in this can help or anyone else who might have questions or wish to try it. I'm also always open for questions or input.

Dr .earth's has done me well

I've been thinking about going organic for awhile. I'm thankful for Greenleaf nutrients changing their MC recipe again and nudging me to make the switch. I couldn't be happier.

lol. Yup yup. I love playing around and taking pictures of the boys and girls. It's a fun little cell phone kit she got me. It has 10 different add on camera lenses. Boys and our toys.

Hey @Phylex , just cruising through. Digging your new style. I’ve used and still use Dr.Earth dry amendments but mainly outside and am down to my last bag. They changed formula a while back and I wasn’t seeing the results I was with the old. Not saying it’s bad or to steer you away from them. Just my personal experience. As always, things are looking amazing in your garden. I’ll get some tester updates in a few days to show progress in your GKgenetics thread. Have a great day✌?

Appreciate the insight Tex. I don't have experience with previous versions, but I'm thoroughly happy with the results so far. I also believe the real magic is happening with the new substrate as a whole and how everything is interacting together. I'm actually still playing with it too. I'm adding 2-row barley, kelp meal, Neem, and soft rock phosphate to the next batch. If for any reason that adds issue, I'll back off and revert to what I'm doing now and just stick with that moving forward.

A moment of silence for Gigi, my prized HDxGOW #2 female from my side project. I saw her empty pot today outside of the veg tent with the other empty pots. I was rearranging and thinning out the veg tent yesterday, culling all of the side projects except a select few, and Gigi was accidentally slaughtered with the others. I'll admit, I was high AF when that occurred. Stupid moment on my part.

If there is a saving grace, I did make some BX1's seeds that are drying now, but I really wanted to S1 this girl and search through those. Oh well.

Oh yeah, she was the Mom and cut at the base of the soil. She's gone. I wasn't ready to work with her yet, so no clones were taken prior either. I recently harvested the last clone of her about a week ago. I hit that one with some different pollen on select branches. One being from the GOW father. I was planning to F2 her and wanted to S1 her as well. I guess the BX's are all I'll have left other than some random outcrosses I most likely will never pop but rather keep in storage just in case.

It was some ‘97 Super Silver Haze. I’ve been over indulging in that quite a bit lately. The mishap was crushing, but it was short lived. The impact would have been greater if it was from my main project; but considering it’s a side project, I can’t be too upset for very long. As my main project progresses, my side projects are slowly dwindling as I make room for “the priority” plants. I’ll continue to work on these side projects until I don’t have any room left for them. But hot damn, she was one of my favorites in that litter. I really could see a huge amount of future potential. Oh well. ?‍♂️

My sense of humour is kind of dark.
In this skit , Phy plays both characters.
Albeit he was running the saw, the duplicity creates irony in that he becomess his own victim.

Also,,,
Watch the left hand of the victim through the entire video.
There is a moment of retardation in his hand. His brain is telling the arm to get the chainsaw off the neck,,,but the hand refuses to grab (what it believes to be) a spinning chain.

In that moment of fear , he became too limp-wristed to save his own life.

to be fair i would probably do the same thing. You gotta have a pretty big brain to be woken up from a sleep and assessing you can grab a chainsaw blade less than 2 seconds later. My brain...not so big.

Related to this thread, Damn man looking great in here GK! Those schwaggy skunks look like they're gonna be foul, with those long stemmed fan leaves and fat fingers on them. Personally when I see that I am assured that i will be getting the kind of smoke I like from that plant. Have a great day!

Just dropping off some pics. First up are the Skunky D’s that are under the HPS. I took the shots through some sunglass lenses to offset the orange. Not as nice when lights are off, but better than the orange glow.
