Amateur astronomer here. I have an assortment of mounts, optical equipment and cameras. I could build a small house if I sold my collections of telescopes... I carry a 6 handicap in golf (yes I play the ball down). I have a permanent camp spot with a pontoon boat for fishing a golf cart ride away from my camper in a boat slip. I shoot trap, compete with a couple friends in fast draw pistol and shoot steel out to 800 yards. And of course I try to grow the ickiest of the stickiest. Picture of the Andromeda galaxy I took over about an hour of exposures.

the local punk/metal record shop still carries it in a fridge behind the counter. They had a whole bunch of different flavors last time I was in. Havent drank it since my youth, but i'm happy to know its still being carried. Guess even with abhorrent amounts of caffeine means you can still be straightedge lmao

all my caffeine comes from coffee nowadays. I dont like messing with all that sugar. Lil teaspoon of sugar in the raw to brighten up the coffee is it.
Oh that's awesome ! Yeah back in the 90s and early 2000s I bought and drank so much of that stuff LOL. I do love Coffee too, and both were on the rotation while I was in college so I guess not wanting to pick a single source makes me a huge Caffeine slut LOL. We used to have a decent record store here but sadly it closed.... It was called Rockabillys and I'm sad it's gone; Wonderful selections were in there.

Also big into fishing here. Here in GA, most folks reservoir fish, but I like hiking into the river and wading after shoal bass, a species native to this area. They are as aggressive as smallies. Light tackle, 6 or 8 lb. mono, and mostly plastics, though they'll hit a topwater if conditions are right, or if they're pissed off enough. Was a military photographer, and still fart around with it, but no longer professionally. Love to grow my roses, and grew shrooms briefly, too. Brewed beer for years, but have let it go now. Hiking and camping are big favorites, too., though as a disabled vet, the wheels ain't what they used to be.

Seems like a lot of us are into the same things! flintriver.jpg angelbee.jpg JarTek.JPG 3253199691995.jpg

It's a blast and there's almost no pressure where I'm fishing. Can't really go ultra light, 'coz they'll break you off on the rocky shoals, but I know what you mean about the light tackle fishing - it's a rush!! That tent sounds like the ticket, man. Get out and get into some fishies!!

If I was in Georgia I'd try some light tackle too but probably not in the way you'd think; For me, specially in the South, light tackle would entail me using only 30 pound test Mono to try and land 50 + pound Blue Cats and Flatheads. I'd like to some day visit the south so I can take a crack at Alligator Gar and Blue Cats because our DNR questions my sanity when I ask about them stocking Blue Cats and Gator Gar here. I mean, THEY stock a bunch of invasive Trout species that I'm not really into, but I want Catfish! We do have Flatheads in Michigan, and Channel Cats, and Mad Toms, and Bullheads, and we do have Carp and Sturgeon which I also like.

Got bit off by gar 3 times last time I got out., but can't use a leader 'coz the Shoalies are too wise. Yeah, the cats are all around and a whole shit ton of folks go after 'em, but they're not my jam... unless we're talkin' Friday Home Cookin' buffets with all you can eat fried catfish! Every now and again I catch one in a deeper pool, but I'm after the Shoalies.

What kind of line are you using ? for Cats and Gar I'd go straight Mono but if Shoalies are line shy, then Fluorocarbon would be a go to since it's harder to see in the water. And yeah, Fried Catfish.... Bro LOL, I'm not proud of how I act around a couple pounds of Fried Catfish. apparently Gar are good to eat too, though you do have to get through that armor plating to get at them, but I've seen people do that before.

I've been putting off spooling up with flouro for no real good reason, but I guess I need to get with the times. Threw a couple spools in my basket just now, and am gonna try it out! On the weed side of things, I'm hoping by hanging out with the gourmets around pH, that I can learn more about terps and noses, and all thaaat ish. Time to level up! :weedleaf::joint::weedleaf:

Fluorocarbon is pretty much a go to line when it comes to fish not seeing it as well. Just remember some knots can slip with Fluorocarbon, but not all of them. Personally I like the Palomar knot, but there's others too. Fluorocarbon stretch is a little different too; best I can tell, it'll stretch like Mono but requires more pressure to begin stretching.

As for the smells and Terpenes, just sniff deeply, as in my experience there's usually a back end scent you don't get with a quick whiff. Anyway hope that helps :)
