I
If you were trying to date me there is LOL.

OK to I have to say what happened yesterday when the Wife and I ran to the store because I think it's funny:

We came out of the store, and we're getting in the car, and an older dude rolls up to the store in a ..... Trans Am ? I can't tell really but anyway, so, he rolls up, and as he puts it in park he revs the engine hard, and shuts the car off, and I'm sitting there and said "Damn man save some pussy for the rest of us!" and the Wife about pissed herself laughing.

All jokes aside I personally prefer a V8 to just about anything else. The sound a V8 makes.... I LOVE that sound. You put a 454 in a car and hand me the keys, I'm going for some fun LOL, I LOVE that noise. It's like hearing a bait clicker go off on one of my conventional reels; The sounds makes me giddy like a school girl.
Hear you loud n clear going to the local drag races next weekend my nephew is gonna run his 383 stroke small block vega for the first time on the new engine I'll be back with pics

I love athletics and staying active. In my mid-thirties these days, so actual athletic days are behind me, but tennis, golf, running, soccer/real football, Pilates, yoga, and bag work these days are still doable and fun. I enjoy cooking and making most of the stuff I consume as well. That’s mostly what I’m up to these days. Hopefully buy a house at some point next year and get to garden, woodwork, tile stuff, and whatnot. Grew up on the water and I’ve always lived near the beach, but I’m over it and moving to the mountains. Only thing I ever liked about the beach was swell and I don’t surf these days unless something crazy happens. Worked on charter and commercial boats as a kid. Done way too much fishing, pulling traps, tossing nets, and so on. I’m a pretty basic boring white guy these days. I enjoy cycling too and can’t wait to be able to really mountain bike again.

Been going back to the skatepark a ton this summer. I was big into rollerblading 15-20 years ago and got back into it last year, and really hit my stride this summer. It has been a good time. I now qualify for the discounted "Old Man Night" at the skatepark lol.
That’s awesome! Back when I skated rollerbladers weren’t allowed at the skateparks, so cool to see things are more friendly these days and less exclusionary.

oh wild, yeah its totally a different atmosphere than when I was young(er). The biggest problems I ever see at the park is kids just putting their phones in bad places to film them doing things they didnt even need to go to the skatepark to do. Everybody's nice to each other these days there.

That reminds me of an old roommate that grew up in a mountain town and got into snowboarding before snowboards were allowed on the ski hills. He had all sorts of crazy/ridiculous stories about him and his buds sneaking onto the slopes near Banff. Did you sneak into the skate parks or did you just find other places?

Hah years back (I snowboard as well) i cant remember the company, but one snowboard company was doing this promotion where they would send you some free this n that if you sent them/posted a photo of you snowboarding at Alta (ski only). A decent amount of people were able to do it.

It's been over 30 years, so I don't remember too many details, but a lot of the stories involved being chased by security or skicops or whoever chased snowboarders off the hills. The only other thing that comes to mind was their obsession with calf muscles for boarding. My roommate did crazy exercises and he told of a friend that used to inject steroids directly into his calves. He said the guys lower legs were twice the size of his thighs.:rolleyes:

Unfortunately I was one of the skateboarders not allowing rollerbladers in or around. The S.P.O.T. and Bro Bowl were the only spots when I was really young and then city’s started building little parks and whatnot. Neither of those places allowed rollerbladers. Sucks we had to be such pricks. Just like not allowing boogie boarders near the lineup. Dickhead stuff.
