I enjoy the outdoors as well. A new hiking trail or river spot is always on the radar. Hiked to an overlook and a couple trails last week. Living next to the Blue Ridge Mountains and Appalachian trail has lots to explore. This time of year is perfect.
Playing sports with the kids, stock market and everyday house stuff is a full day. Ps4 in the late evenings or making up beats on the macbook sometimes if the garden is caught up.

When the weather's nice I enjoy getting out camping, some limited hiking due to past injuries, kayaking, biking, swimming, 4 wheeling, and most anything to get outta town away from most folks. Lol.
Get out, and see stuff like this. ???

Other times when it's not so nice out the ps4, music, movies, and working on various projects occupy my time. Usually have a few projects going at once. Lol.

Love fishing. It is my favorite hobby. Fishing, and all that goes with it, hiking, canoeing, nature watching, and always learning.

Another favorite is surfing the 'net. Being able to research and learn about anything that catches my interest is such an amazing thing. Us old folks remember when an encyclopedia was the only immediate source of information, so being able to have almost all of the world's knowledge at my fingertips is incredible.

Designing and building stuff, whether for fishing or gardening or any other reason is another pleasure. Fish shacks, grow cabinets, a slide in camper for my truck, etc. In general I'd rather build than buy, as the knowledge and pleasure of DIY more than makes up for the rough edges.

Fishing ?
Golfing ?️ 2 things I have done ever since I was a kid . Lived near a beautiful reservoir and fished trout and smallmouth my whole life I love it , and was a caddie and got to play golf where I worked which was awesome.
Be nice to golf on a coarse that had a smallie pond we have largemouth & smallies both here but it's a rare treat to hook up on smallies they have more speed & acrobatics then a largemouth I love them on light gear

I really want to catch some bass. We don't have them anywhere around here, but growing up, a lot of the fishing shows were from the States and they always made it look like a blast.

Cool thread idea Herk! Honestly, I have way too many hobbies lol...

There's the outdoor stuff.... Fishing, hiking and backpacking (though kids put a slight damper on that), camping, raising chickens and gardening.

And then there's the nerd stuff.... Magic cards, comic books, movies, video games, scifi, books, D&D, music and concerts

And then there's all the crafting.... cooking, brewing, woodworking, coffee, whiskey (is whiskey a hobby? I'd argue yes). I'm always working on my house in some form or fashion. Used to work on cars a lot but that's taken a back burner as well.

I'll probably pick up another hobby next week

Our place is 109 years old now.
Some would call it home improvement, although, I seem to spend most of my time keeping it habitable.
New roof last week.

Old School Gambrel 2nd floor,,, AKA 'your house looks like barn'

Inspired me to replace the deck, while I had the big garbage trailers here.

More of a lifestyle, than a hobby; a have a bad case of biofillia. We chose this house partly necause it is only a couple blocks from the river. We go there, every chance I get. 20210922_193204.jpg

Im like GC....I've got a million hobbies and will probably pick up another before Im done typing this.
I love wrenching & restoring. Ive done a ton of restorations including everything from old train lanterns, to pre war bikes, to classic cars. Sometimes making an old item new can be more fun than the item itself. Ive got a thing for building guitars and electric cigar box guitars & amps too. Hand made from the fretboard to the pickups. They aren't wall hangers either, they jam!

Damn Red that's some cool stuff there. I bet your cars have just as much detail.

I'm a gearhead thru and thru if it's got tires I can fix it after I break it .lol
Im old-school (love to hear 3 2bbl carbs kick-in) but have done many Chevy LS engine swaps in everything from a 1960 Cadillac Coupe DeVille to a 1977 Impala station wagon.

Don't ever ask me to go fishing, we will never leave. Even if we ain't got a bite all day. I love to camp and be outside but you can keep the hikes.

I hate working on my house. Don't have the patience. I'm a simple guy.

Snowboarding. I love snowboarding, even though I am in a flat ass midwest town. We got a small hill and one of the best terrain parks in the entire midwest, so I grew up a rail rat riding street stuff. Got out of snowboarding to pursue a career in teenage drinking and drug use, and fell out of it for over a decade. Finally picked it up again a couple years ago and its like I never missed a beat. I've been thinking about it obsessively since the spring and we're only a month or two away again!! very excited.

I like to hike, hang out with my dogs, and ride my bike. I've played drums since I was a youth, and have on and off when it has been available, due to not everywhere you can just set up a fuckin' drumset and wail on it lol. I "taught" myself banjo, I can play it and know scales and such but have never bothered learning a single song. I can actually clawhammer/drop thumb pretty proficiently. I just prefer to pick it up, make up some shit, set it down and walk away. Man, @HydroRed I might have to work out an electric banjo situation with ya here in the future!

Theres a bunch of other shit too, I did wet taxidermy for a minute, and a bunch of other short lived hobbies. But I'm a recovering alcoholic and lost a good portion of my teens and 20's to alcohol and drug use. My new hobby is rebuilding a better life.

I’m quickly getting sucked into this over-landing fad… there is a new vehicle in my near future, if I can actually get my hands on one. This vehicle

Sweet cruiser, I like that size lift you've got on it. Did you go OME, or other for it?
Mines a silver 95 I take to the hills here in CO.
It's got about 10inches of OME and Dobinsons.. Hoping to LS swap it in the next year.. I got rid a locked 97 anniversary edition last year and am really regretting it with the pricing these days.
Hoping to add a 60 at some point as well..

What part of CO? We try to get a Colorado/Moab trip in every now and again.. Funds have been pretty tight lately though with everything going on..
