Usually when a place gets bought the shitty website gets fixed? First I've heard of them being sold, but neither fact is surprising there.

I quit my job... covid has taken 1/3 of the staff out of the mix & I got tired of doing three people's jobs for the same price I get paid to do one. No bonus, no incentive, not even a, "hey thanks for stepping up & working like a dog all week to keep my business running with all this shit going on" in fact the owner even tried "joking" with me, "if you guys keep working this hard I can buy a new fully loaded GMC Denali next month"... I said fuck this nonsense ?♂️
The sheer audacity needed to joke about buying a luxury truck off the backs of your employees hard work is staggering at any point, to do it in a year where unemployment rates are near record breaking and small businesses are going under left and right is unbelievably obtuse. He'll appreciate you when your gone and he actually has to hire three people to do those jobs again. Hope you find a better spot wherever you land next brother.

So...the washer has been on the fritz and the ol' misses is not a happy camper. Called the service company, run their testing sequence, get their codes. Water inlet valve. 350 bones to replace. Talking to the guy, the parts listed for them at 100 with a 250 install fee..
I found one on Amazon for $50 OEM.

I didn't know covid was a computer virus...
What did I do today? I'm sitting around feeling stiff and sore.
Needed both groceries and exercise first thing yesterday morning so on went the backpack and off I went to a store about 18 blocks away, over the ice and snow. It was nice to be early, no lineups or crowds. I got what I needed, likely about 40 or so pounds worth, and checked out. Here was where I made my mistake. Not wanting to hold up the person behind me, I jammed my stuff in the pack without properly distributing the weight and bulk and walked home, with my lower back hating it the whole way.
Later that day, after having enjoyed the fresh air and the walk despite the discomfort, I decided to walk to a couple other stores. Let's call it a 45 block round trip this time. By the time I got home, my awkward gait due to the sore back and to keeping balance on the ice had now led to sore hips and knees.
No regrets. I needed the exercise and there is nothing wrong beyond basic stiffness, but it'll be tea, tokes and relaxing for the next couple days while the ol' carcass heals up.

Perusing closer, I realized the beater is geared 5:1 .
When the handle turns full, a blade has gone around 5 times.
If my math is correct, I think I can operate at + 1000 rpm.

Me niether. Last year was bad for seed companys (at least 2 of our regional ones botanical intrists (broomfield) and lake valley (boulder) had real difficulty harvesting and distributing covid related.

We built our house the summer of 2018 and moved in that November. So, after just over two years and building the barn door 10 months ago, I finally got the master bath door trimmed and door hung! I built the door from some junk 1x’s the lumber store had...I also beat the hell out of it with a hammer, nuts and bolts, drug a saw across the corners to add to the weathered look. I am more pleased with this project than any others, simply because it didn’t have to look perfect!
