Just remember a Chainsaw is quicker than an Axe, and if you have some gas it's like having ammo :)

Or dig a moat out and put some big species of Catfish in that..... Rotting human Flesh wouldn't stand a chance against a Piraiba or Jau, or a Wels, or a Goonch....
It is important to understand the dynamics of using a chainsaw in a zombie apocolypse. The chain rotates around the bar, moving away from the user on top and towards the user on the bottom. Use the top of the bar to avoid blood splatter.

I’d get myself a mini crossbow, a handful of knives, a samurai sword, and a silenced AR ;) gotta start saving up could happen any day now!

Once you draw a horde it’s game over. Depends on the zombie type though, if we’re talking Walking Dead you can pretty much do whatever you want. If we’re talking Dawn of the Dead, no chance I’m breaking out the saw hahaha!

Don't forget the moat full of Catfish though! You can stand on the other side picking them off like that fence in Day of the Dead, and if they fall in they probably won't make it out of the water.

The hook is a good idea too! You can pull them around from a distance so you don't get bit while your Molotov cocktail their friends lol. "Beat 'em or burn 'em they go up pretty easy" as Night of the Living Dead said.

Besides these days we generally have hand sanitizer (AKA Paper Cut finder, AKA almost napalm) lol.

a handful of knives
Unless you have really big hands, isn't that just one knife?;)

Oh great, now you are going to bring fictional characters into the discussion.

Here we are having a good conversation about dealing with zombies and you have to go and get silly.
You're right sorry :(

So how about those Ancient Roman texts about dealing with them where they used a Gladius to behead them and said it was the only way to stop them?

The Japanese apparently had a way to deal with them too when they ran into them.

I feel like Zombie implies a corpse that's reanimated though. Well, since Romero, as before that Zombies were from voodoo. Probably because of the toxin in puffer fish making someone appear dead because the heat beat was so slow which is probably how it happened to Clairvius Narcisse.

I'm a little late to this conversation...are we following brain death only zombie rules here? Cause then knives aren't super useful. They're more about causing blood loss which doesn't seem like it would be that helpful against the undead. I'd probably go with a few sharpened 12" drift punches and a pickaroon or two.

It’s the brain stem gank from behind method or if you’re in trouble through the ear or eye holes hehe but those both seem like great weapons to grab! I like the drift punches

In Dawn of the Dead Tom Savini did an effect with a screwdriver to the ear to take one out that tackled the one dude.

I think a problem with a knife would be the type; a K-Bar works because it's for grooves for the blood and something to stop your hand from slipping on the blade and cutting yourself in the process, but a really sharp machete could work as it gives distance from attacking Zombie.

Personally I'd want an AA-12, AK, or STG.... if you get them in a horde aim high at the heads and each bullet SHOULD penetrate multiple lines, but the noise (depending on mythology) could draw more to you.

A machete or chainsaw on the head (a human skull is not unlike a watermelon in hardness) you'd have a pretty good shot with a knife but I feel like a pointy spear adds that important distance.

Either way you'll learn why high heel shoes were invented for Male butchers to keep their clothes from getting soaked in blood. I imagine your shoes would look like you sneezed on your period.

So is it just their saliva you have to worry about? I was under the impression blood and OPIM were all a concern. Am I mixing shit up with vampires?
