Irrigation here traditionally went overland, open, through canals and ditches. Lately they are burying pipe, to mitigate loses.
They may lose less water, but we lost more than that.

My daughter was horrified that I let our one year old touch it,,,
after what happened to that grasshopper the other day.

Those are really good bait!

Have you tried house hunting? You could pose with one in Michigan!

Had a surreal conversation with the local hippy, starchild chick during my walk. She kept talking metaphysical mumbo jumbo and I kept trying to pull her down to the ground from the clouds she floats in. There were bits of interesting conversation but a lot of times where it was just too strange.

Nice enough, and she didn't take offense to my lack of faith in mumbo jumbo. I think me not being taken aback by how flamboyant she is threw her off. She doesn't realize that she has a long way to go to even make the top 100 weird people I've encountered. :ROFLMAO:
She kept moving further into my personal space and ended the conversation by kissing my cheek. Sadly, it's the most action I've had in ages. ?

Beautiful!
Like the first pic best. I love trails that have the bush right up to the edge, the more claustrophobic the better.

There's a lot of that out there; Some of the older trails are overgrown now and basically used by critters, but we still go off trail a lot. There's a huge ridge line that goes around that whole area, leading down to the River, and that is where I landed my largest Carp to date; 14 or 15 pounds :)

There's state game area spots too if you keep going passed the rest of the trails so some people hunt back there too, but the parts these were taken on was the park area so no shooting allowed in that entire area.

There's a LOT of walking areas though, and you'd easily spend a day without touching the same trail. We've also found Puffballs out there and Chicken of the Woods too. Of course I could easily show you these.... ;)
