What's for Breakfast

Personally, I rarely eat Breakfast.....Or Lunch for that matter. My usual Breakfast is a Can of Monster, and or Coffee. I'm mainly liquid during the day, and don't always have much of an appetite until later in the day. I usually have one large meal, feel full, and I'm done LOL. There are occasions though where I'll eat something; Like if we go out to Breakfast with my Mom, which, is pretty rare, but I've been known known to blast down some eggs and toast, and Sausage. I do like Bacon but I think I like Sausage more. Eggs I generally go with "still has some yellow goo inside" so I can dip my toast in that, and generally Ketchup / Catsup with some Frank's Red Hot and a shit load of Black Pepper. I have a thing for Black Pepper.... Seriously, the number of creamy sauces that are enhanced with it..... I'm surprised I don't try it on Ice Cream.

Back when I was younger my Mom would take me with her to this little restaurant down town where my Aunt would meet up for Breakfast and the Potatoes they did in the morning.... Fried Potatoes, no onions, and eggs, yeah it was good stuff :)

I do like Hash Browns too.... I mean, I'm German and Irish, it's not like it's hard to get me to eat a Potato LOL. But when I do actually eat in the early parts of the day, I like mainly Eggs and Toast. Eggs covered in Black Pepper, and hell I'll even put Black Pepper on Bread. I like Bread. Oh!!!!! Biscuits with Sausage Gravy (Covered in Black Pepper) is also a good yummy thing.

Lots of Black Pepper. Yes! Geez how shocking it must seem that I love Chem crosses LOL.

Yeah, that's me during the week except with less structure. I eat when I can. Sometimes that means a big, late lunch and then just snacks for dinner, sometimes that means coffee all day followed by a big dinner. I've been informed I need to change that up if I wanna be healthier. Supposedly breakfast kickstarts your metabolism or some such... we shall see how much I really want it I guess lol

On the weekends though Ive always liked to have a big breakfast. And now that my step daughter is a teenager we rarely see here for dinner. She's either working, at her dad's or out with friends. So Sunday breakfast is our weekly sit down at a table and eat together time.

Plus I have 24 chickens so eggs are already paid for. We eat a whole lot of eggs. And we agree on black pepper. There are certain foods that I virtually can't eat without a ton of black pepper. Like Cole slaw, chicken soup and the aforementioned biscuits and gravy all land in this category.

Yeah my Fiance was telling me yet again that I need to take better care of me. "If I have to fucking be here so do you!" LOL. I get told that too. Then again I guess my personality brings that out; "Well yeah I can eat 3 Whoppers..... I didn't eat all the so it's not that bad" LOL. Or "Well Beer is technically bread, and if the alcohol content is high enough it's a health drink with disinfectant qualities!"..... Poor girl takes it in stride though haha.

The Black Pepper obsession makes me wonder about growing some at some point. That'd be pretty sweet I think. I do need to start eating better though; 39 years old now, and even though I'm sometimes surprised how I'm alive still, I feel I SHOULD at least put some effort in.

One of these days we're going to have Chickens too; Not just for the Eggs, though that is a really nice selling point, but they also help with Ticks. And yes Cole Slaw with Black Pepper!!!

In the rare times I eat something for Lunch (Which I've put some effort into) a Sandwich is usually a good go to for me, and I "pepper" it with Black Pepper LOL. Ham, Turkey, whatever it is, I'll add Black Pepper, Mustard, and sometimes a Pickle cause I LOVE Pickles I got some spicy Bread and Butter Pickles a while back (ChemCumbers!) They were awesome :)

Dude that's me to a T. Just about the same age too. Having some fun new chronic pains and soreness and suddenly thinking I should actually, you know, try a little?
Yeah, I guess my early Punk Rocker Metal Head attitude, I didn't think I'd really GET old LOL. But now...... No more porns for me; Can't stand watching someone get on their knees and not hearing a cracking or popping noise so I think I'm over it hahaha.

@Bodean - That sounds awesome! I don't think I've ever had it, which, is weird because it seems like one of those things my Grandma would have made haha. I'll see about finding some of that the next time the Biscuits and Sausage Gravy come around :)

This is an unabashed excuse to talk about how much I love Lizano Salsa, my favorite non-hot sauce condiment if all time. I put that shit on everything.
Dude that Lizano Salsa is the fucking BOMB. You can literally use it on everything. Such unique and savory flavor. I left it at my folks’ house. My mom really liked it and my dad used it on a buncha stuff (he’s a sauce guy). The only other sauce I’ve seen him use that much is Sriracha. I may have to find a 55 gal drum n pump that shit out to distribute to my friends. Thanks again for showing me the way!

Haha happy to hear your spreading the Gospel of Lizano!

Glad you and your fam enjoyed the recommendation. It really is so versatile. People see the word salsa and think it's for dipping chips but I always try to explain it's more like a combination of taco sauce and A1. It's good on everything from Tacos to eggs to steaks.

In Costa Rica it's like ketchup in the US, just on every table at every restaurant and food stand
