Not sure if you guys use internet recipes much but I do, and one of my biggest pet peeves is all the fluff... the pop-ups, the life stories, the boring anecdotes that have nothing to do with the recipe...

Last night my friend introduced me to this app and it's just so amazing I had to share it with you all, just in case any of you are like me...

Really??...
You don't like hearing about Sarah's first time cooking dinner for her friends from the book club that she joined when she moved from the big city to a small town in an effort to prove she wasn't just a pretty from the city?

Or how her grandma has been making her secret recipe the same way for the last 126 years but Sarah had a moment of inspiration, remembering the time she spent visiting the old country & watching the way the babushkas would prepare their flour for the bread, "the old way"....

I'm sorry bro I'm super baked ?
But me either, I literally say, "bitch wtf does this have to do with baking chickens?!" When researching baking chickens on the interwebs.

Hahaha seriously man! It drives me insane... just tell me what I need, how to make it and how long it takes to cook. And in fact, leave out the "prep time" estimate cause that's BS too... nobody dices 7 vegetables and breaks down a chicken in 10 minutes. Just give me the ingredients, the process and tell me how I know its done. That's all I want.

Save the story about how you met the love of your life over this dish at some restaurant on a trip to New York and just HAD to recreate it for your kids! I don't care. I only care if it tastes good and if I have the ingredients to make it in my house.

But how can they ever build their lifestyle brand if they don't entertain you with their literary stylings? Don't you know jenny really wants to be martha.

Take a 8 oz block of feta, 1 pint of grape or cherry tomatoes, 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil. S an P in a 9x11 baking dish. 400° oven for 40-45 min. Stir in cooked pasta and baby spinach while still hot from oven. You can add herbs or whatever else you want but it is something a 12 yr old could pull off and look like a masterchef.

That is super simple! Thanks for sharing, I'm going to make this this week.

Also, I commend you on your use of cavattapi, the greatest of all tubular pasta shapes

Bok Choy soup + steak /veggie fried rice

———

Bok choy soup:
1lb of bok choy (diced )
1lb of bottom chuck roast (cut into strips )
1/2 Onion
4 green onion
Soy sauce
Diced mushroom (1/4 package )

Cooked for 1.5 hours
Noodles or fried rice applied after

_________

Steak and veggie Fried rice:
* bok choy (1.5 lb) diced
* 2.5 lb bottom chuck roast steak(cut into square)
* 3 tablespoon of diced garlic (mixed into steak)
* (4 ) carrot , diced
* 3/4 package of organic mushroom , diced in half
* (20 ) green onion , diced
* (3) large yellow onions, large pieces and diced pieces to add texture and diff cooking technique.
*’(3) celery , diced
* (4 cups) rice , I’m using jasmine

steps to fried rice:
1. Put all veggies (besides the green onions because they cook quickly ) onto the top of wok or habachi grill top ( cook at full heat and flip the first stage veggies 2-3 times at 5/6 minutes each .

2. Push the 1st stage veggies onto one side 30-50% “hill” and then add the green onions next to them (don’t worry about the hills ) than add the rice onto the 40%ish surface you got left . cool it for 5 minutes and when u flip the rice , flip ur veggie hill so they never get burned . Do this 5 minute flipping cycle for 2-4 times .

3. Move the rice onto itself and make a “hill” like the veggies ) and you’ll prllly have 20-30% surface to add the meat fully. If it’s steak and not frozen , I like mine not overly cooked and I know after the first meal I will be microwaving it , so over cooking would just make the steak into rock. I flip the steak after the first 2 minutes-3 minutes and then turn off the grill and then on that final flip of the steak just stir all the “hills” and meat together , otherwise if it’s in not premixed in bowl you’ll def regret it by having a imbalance of the whole thing.

In the future I’m gonnea use my fried rice in the soup vs having a seperate noodle .
When it’s summer and I can use my veggies , I eat this like half the time in a week and night time snack/meal. One time cooking it is like 15-30 easy and that’s not baby servings

Bok choy soup (just add the noodles when u eat it or rice )
