Thankfully, I restrained myself to just one, with my girls help lol

They were tasty, and pretty damn close, for à first attempt at a recreation. A bit more cumin and maybe chili powder, and they'd have been on point.

There's always next munchy time though...

Love the smoked cheeks, mine was slow cooked “sous vide” style, but yummy anyhow. Just learned that fresh thyme goes really really well in bbq sauce, I use bulls eye brand with chipotle tabasco, soy sauce and honey.. what’s your secret sauce.. @Gentlemancorpse ??
I'm actually not a huge sauce guy (outside of hot sauce that is)... when I do my own I like to make a carolina style sauce, heavy on the vinegar and chiles, otherwise I've been liking the Rufus Teague sauces for pre-made stuff... especially the Touch of Heat one

It's funny you mention sauces though... Im thinking of giving the Alabama White Sauce a try next time I do chicken. People keep asking me if I've ever tried it, I'd like to say yes haha
