I wondered yesterday how much storage you'd need to video record your life.
Turns out, it's a helluva lot!
Something like 1.5TB for an hour of footage @ 100mbps 4k

That just made me think...how much of that video would be me smoking doobs.

It would be as big as the first computer...

That and that Webb Telescope...Get blazed right up and look at some space shit.

I was just scrolling through the first 300 list, and it made me kind of sad. There are a bunch of names on there that just disappeared. That certainly happens with forums, but given the world situation over the last two years it's easy for my imagination to provide some bad outcomes as reasons.

It also was depressing because there were names on there that I had completely forgotten about. Good contributors and decent people who just ceased to exist as far as pH is concerned. One day they were here, then they weren't, never to be mentioned. : (
Just a reminder to appreciate what you have, I guess, as nothing is permanent.

Hmmm....5-10 minutes at least, per doob, at, say, 1.5tb / hr, should be around 250gb per doob...times doobs per day...
Smoke more than 6, and you're back up to that 1.5tb per day, just in doobage...

I had to learn all about the curvature of the earth to solve fire control solutions. Line of sight on a destroyer is about 12 miles in perfect conditions from either bridge wing, line of sight doesn’t increase in a linear fashion with height like it would on a right triangle because the hypotenuse is the ocean which is curved. We use a gyroscope to get our absolute orientation then use a calculus function that accounts for curvature, earths rotation, atmospheric temperature and humidity which changes muzzle and projectile velocity to hit things with projectiles from far away.

I was trying to explain to a flat earth idiot about allowances made for navigation around a globe , Mercator sailing etc . Nope they still refused to engage in fact . Idiots are called idiots for a reason I guess
