So, would a bowl of Corn Flakes technically be a sweet corn chowder ?

If you put enough milk in, and let it sit long enough...
...Also, HORK!

I have no clue why my Mom has a Toilet in her shed.....Not hooked up or anything....Just in there. Not assembled really either... Parts were laying around...I didn't ask.

She's just waiting for you to ask....and help install it!
But, hey, you'd have a nice outhouse...
...And once you have the plumbing, might as well clear everything else out, and make another growroom...

The smell alone.... but if weed smelled like that you know my ass would be all over that haha!

The toilet thing.... she has 2 bathrooms, and both already have one so it's like "wtf....." but, didn't ask. I left though after finishing up and grabbing my stuff lol.

Do you ever think about time zones and hemispheres and the like

Sometimes I Ponder the curvature of the earth.
Like if I'm standing on the beach with wet feet, technically I am at sea level. Anywhere on earth, if you're toes are wet: you are at the same elevation.

So, what if you head out to sea, and try and keep eye contact with me; How far out to see would you be before the curvature of the Earth interferes with our direct line of sight?
I heard it was 2 miles.
But I have no idea.

I can say with decent honesty that if you drag my ass to a beach, we're gonna be looking curved before we even get on a boat lol.

@dstroy0

Hey bro; you know how to talk to Unix at the beach????? ....

A C-Shell! Ah!

Rivers, now that is a different story. Any two people standing on the river are at different elevations. By virtue of gravity. Rivers can only flow downhill. That means if I am ice skating on a river downstream, I am going downhill.

Back to the curvature thing, if I start ice skating down river, eventually I will leave your line of sight. Even though you are at a higher elevation.

Falling through the ice doesn’t count…??

Eso's Tart thread has been a lot of fun. It turned into a general shit-shootin' session, but the contest is about done so I figured I'd try to keep the spirit going over here.

Got a topic on your brain? Something to share? Just feel like babbling and don't want to start a thread? Here's your huckleberry. As with everywhere on the site, no politics, no personal attacks, no bullshit allowed.

I'll start off by continuing a thought from over there regarding time. Do you ever think about time zones and hemispheres and the like?
Realizing that our Aussie crew are just entering Summer as I descend into another long winter is weird enough, but then I also have to account for the fact that they don't even live on the same day as me. Whatever time it is here, for @Ramjet159 it's tomorrow, but seven hours earlier :mesmerizied:

Noon on Monday for me is 5 AM Tuesday for those upside down fuckers.

It's a good thing I use weed or this would get confusing. ; )
Lol this is gold ??. I consider the time differences all the time . I know when this place will fire up late at night or early morning my time and when your East and West coasts start to awaken and hit the hay . It’s amazing how many don’t look outside their own box ?.
My mind boggles all the time at how quickly we went from Alexander Bell to connecting with each other almost instantly .

When I lived on Lake Huron, I could see across to the red lights on top of the windfarms in Canada, which was 20-some miles away.
They were also probably 100ft in the air, and were lights, so they were kinda reaching toward my vision anyway.

I feel like atmosphere between you would make whatever you're looking at disappear before the curvature would.

I had to learn all about the curvature of the earth to solve fire control solutions. Line of sight on a destroyer is about 12 miles in perfect conditions from either bridge wing, line of sight doesn’t increase in a linear fashion with height like it would on a right triangle because the hypotenuse is the ocean which is curved. We use a gyroscope to get our absolute orientation then use a calculus function that accounts for curvature, earths rotation, atmospheric temperature and humidity which changes muzzle and projectile velocity to hit things with projectiles from far away.

Kinda reminds me of bugs bunny, “the world, she’s a round!”…lol

You being from the future and all, how about providing some lottery numbers or winning race horses? Help a brotha out?
