What's the proper way to water plants in fabric pots?

I have limited experience with fabric pots, but it's been good none the less:

This SHOULD translate to indoor, but mine have been all outdoor.

The first thing I noticed was that they dry way faster than other pots, but, With added air flow, comes that too.

I don't do "runoff" really; I put my fingers in the soil, and feel it. If you get beyond an inch or two of dry top soil, you can go ahead and water.

I water half of what I intend to use at first. After feeling the soil, I start adding water until it pools on the surface and I stop. I watch to see how fast it's absorbed before I continue, and once it's absorbed, I continue until I've added the rest. I see water come through the sides in small droplets, and I watch the soil, the plant, and how it takes the rest of the water.

I don't lift them. Mine usually have roots that have come through the bottom. I discovered this fact while moving a clone one day and hearing that velcro like sound of really tiny roots that had made it through lol.

I would suggest feeling the soil and watering slowly basically. But I have noticed that they dry out a lot faster.
