What's the proper way to water plants in fabric pots?

I use about 10-15 % of the pots volume as a starting point, water slowly from top, observe til next watering. If any one shows signs of underwatering i adjust the amount i give that one. I do it by memory but journaling adjustments is a good idea. You will find the sweet spot for each lady pretty quick. Their needs are all environmentally influenced so if you have a temp or humidity spike or drop, they may change their usuage. It is an experience/judgement thing you will get better at with time and hands on.

U gonna do great ! Everyone has dif variables to deal w . Medium, conditions etc. U will get the hang of it after a couple waterings . No two are ever the same I will tell u that . Use your best judgement and wait till pots are dry to water . If u see runoff it's too much or you watering to quickly. Hope this helps ?

Thank you ALL so much! You guys are awesome!

I guess it's the dry part i really need to get the hang of. I gotta stop thinking I'm gonna kill them by letting them dry out! Its the f@@king opposite!

Thank you ALL once again for educating this dumb ass!

I really appreciate you all!

It's sooooo the opposite. Hurt alot of plants in my time growing from just overwatering. And I always think it's a deficiency at first so I end up wasting time on that end as well.

Yo at the dollar store they got these metal strainers for pasta 12 inch

Raises the fabric pots off the ground 3/4 inches and legs constant air flow under the plants

One day
I bought 26 of these the lady asked me what the deal was I said

I told her I had a realy big sandbox lol

ahhā€¦Little Dabbie! Please share your watering practice? The more experts, The better! Will only reinforce the right stuff and steer us newbs off the wrong ones.

Expert me?! naa lol

But much like everyone else I simply slowly water from the center, kinda make a mound around the outside of the rim to keep the water contained, wait for it to go down and add more till it starts leaking out the bottom and stop. :D

But thats for soil. any other medium is outta my range.

How do you gauge when to water? Lift? Watch for droop? Etc?

Looks like they gonna get crushed by bigger pots, especially when fully saturated?
I have used 5 gals without issues just donā€™t slam them down

The good thing if the so crush they pop right back out

Iā€™ll never grow another fabric pot without one thatā€™s how much I like them

And if needed iam sure they can be made stronger

Just my opinion donā€™t mean it right

I may have missed it but what does this amended soil consist of, the media honestly dictates how often and how much to water in my opinion, just curious, if its coco based itll be easy lol is start by watering till you get some runoff then lift it if possible at timed intervals afterwards so you can get an idea of how fast its drying out then water as needed based off of how fast they are drying off
