Whats your favorite cannibiond? Striclty THC? 1:1's? CBG? CBD? Aside from getting high, does anyone have a plant that always works for them?

I loved cbg once I kept the temp low, the temp graph for cbg is very low ( under 150f)

when I grew cbd,cbg and played with harvest times of the plant, people need to realize even when a breeder claims 100% cbd or cbg these genetics by nature will change over maturity . Meaning when u buy retail cbd/cbg and non delta9/thc products they will test daily/weekly but also know that they have to harvest pre-maturly of what a normal cannabis grower would do. The factor best results for patient? I disagree with people wanting on;y cbd/cbg . The best results I’ve gotten for myself and patients reviews is having a balanced cbg/cbd and low thc if in extraction . This makes it so u have a way higher chance of helping ur rx needs and not having negative results. I also think combining diff pheno’s with diff terps is a huge part of the sucess of what ur rx needs. many process/cure and bad harvesting methods result in a major loss of what’s truly valued to patient.

People also need to realize cbg is best harvested at 25-30% cloudy (thrich ) and beyond that converts to cbd than delta 9. Cbd is same way is u feed it more npk and let it mature = more delta 9. Which for a patient and grower, having a less than 10% thc with high cbd/cbg and mixing these together really works vs singular pheno extractions and not allowing maturity of plant. These regulations make it so when a patient trials cbd/cbg and misc for first time and it lacks good terps, properly cured and processed but also lacking maturity grown. It’s gonnea end out crappy and like Rick Simpson said himself. Trying singular cannabinoids or not realizing they work together is a bad thing.

For example cbg works as a magnetic to other other cannabinoids and also can and will I prove neurology based issues better than any other documented cannabinoids. They even found it was such a good disinfection it could kill many viruses . to prove my point if u get a terp less and not well processed/cure but they lab test it fresh and do shit to it. Do j honestly think that’s a fair trial? But also the regulations making the fafmer degrade his crop and not allow mixtures is really making a fair trial to the patient . if a patient can intake 500+mg of mix vs less than 50 mg typically of delta 9 I see this as a huge inpact towards many people who need these things for rx assistance . I know when I tried only delta 9 or cbd it just didn’t work. Mixing them and diff pheno’s did and everyone I trialed and still consume only wants it that way.

As a industry we are being told false lies about terp less , non mature and degraded plants being the way of the future but really these regulations are blocking the obvious truth of how cbd and many of the cannabinoids work. They need eachother and cbg is def a cannabinoids where it’s main discovery of helping that and many rx needs.

While terpenes are certainly important and becoming widely recognized by consumers, Rice and Koziel (2015) found that aldehydes play an equal or stronger role in the aromatic presentation of cannabis. They determined that the aldehydes listed below can be present in concentrations large enough to rival or exceed the olfactory impact of terpenes in cannabis plants.

Science is changing what we know about cannabis every day. Current cannabis laboratory testing is not able to measure key compounds if flavor profiling is your goal. Genetics are important, but environment shapes the final product in key ways. We have learned enough over the years to say that our general flavor descriptions are the best approximation to technically detailing the aromas for each of our varieties that have the potential to emerge in your field.

Key Aldehydes

Acetic acid
Acetic acid, also known as ethanoic acid, is an organic chemical compound best recognized for giving vinegar its sour taste and pungent smell. Pure water-free acetic acid (glacial acetic acid) is a colorless hygroscopic liquid and freezes below 16.7°C (62°F) to a colourless crystalline solid.

Acetamide
Acetamide based derivatives are potential anti-microbial, antifungal agents, used as disinfectants. Cigarette smoking triggers acetamide release. It is a minor byproduct of paracetamol degradation. Acetamide is carcinogenic in rats. Taste very bitter; volatilises on exposure to air and sunlight.

Benzaldehyde
Benzaldehyde (C6H5CHO) is an organic compound consisting of a benzene ring with a formyl substituent. It is the simplest aromatic aldehyde and one of the most industrially useful. It is a colorless liquid with a characteristic almond-like odor.

Heptanal
Heptanal or heptanaldehyde is an alkyl aldehyde. It is a colourless liquid with a strong fruity odor, which is used as precursor to components in perfumes and lubricants.

Methylisohexenyl ketone
Pepper, mushroom, rubber.

2-ethylhexanol
It is encountered in natural plant fragrances, and the odor has been reported as “heavy, earthy, and slightly floral” for the R enantiomer and “a light, sweet floral fragrance” for the S enantiomer.

Decanal
Decanal is a saturated fatty aldehyde formally arising from reduction of the carboxy group of capric acid (decanoic acid). It has a role as an antifungal agent, a fragrance and a plant metabolite. It is a saturated fatty aldehyde, a n-alkanal and a medium-chain fatty aldehyde. Waxy, fatty, citrus and orange peel with a slight green melon nuance.

Hexanal
Hexanal, also called hexanaldehyde or caproaldehyde, is an alkyl aldehyde used in the flavor industry to produce fruity flavors. Its scent resembles freshly cut grass, like cis-3-hexenal. It is potentially useful as a natural extract that prevents fruit spoilage.

2-chloroacetophenone
Has a floral odor. Used as a riot control agent. The main uses for 2-chloroacetophenone are in tear gas and in chemical Mace. It is a potent eye, throat, and skin irritant.

Octanal
Octanal is the organic compound, an aldehyde, with the chemical formula CH3(CH2)6CHO. A colorless fragrant liquid with a fruit-like odor, it occurs naturally in citrus oils. It is used commercially as a component in perfumes and in flavor production for the food industry.

Pentanal
Pentanal is the organic compound is an alkyl aldehyde, molecular formula C5H10O. It is used in flavorings, resin chemistry, and rubber accelerators. Its smell is described as fermented, bready, fruity, nutty, berry.

Methyl anthranilate
Main ingredient for some bird repellants. Methyl anthranilate, also known as MA, methyl 2-aminobenzoate, or carbomethoxyaniline, is an ester of anthranilic acid. Its chemical formula is C8H9NO2. It has a fruity grape smell, and one of its key uses is as a flavoring agent.

Delta 8 and Delta 9 play really well together in my opinion. Pretty sure the ratio is 5:1 (Delta 8: Delta 9) ... a farm near me used to make this awesome syrup that was all that and a bag of chips, and hot dang if Delta 8 doesn't add a nice euphoric element and enhance the experience, but unfortunately is no longer legal in WA :(

Now we are getting some where...great post...Gives me more to look into! I don't watch TV...From the time of mid 30s to mid 40 I didn't even have a TV in the house..Now even my adult kids rarely watch TV..Every single night I'm reading or looking at something cannabis related while the wife watches her shows...At this point it's even hard to stump me on which breeder bred what hahah... worthless knowledge to some but hey....It's what interests me

I like CBD. Since I have some anxiety problems, it helps me overcome this problem. I am not really into smoking, so I vape it. I try not to hurt my lungs as much. But lately, I have discovered a new type of cannabinoid. It's called kratom. A friend of mine introduced me to it. It's pretty similar to weed by the looks and effects it has. I have tried it several times, but I am planning to buy kratom for myself to understand better what kind of cannabinoid kratom is. Please let me know if anyone is interested in relating my impressions after using it.

Kratom is a plant. I don't think Kratom contains cannabinoids. The active ingredients act on the opioid receptors in the brain, whereas Cannabis acts on your Cannbinoid receptors.

I had a strain called darlins net (Dan'sBud (RIP) pheno-ic mag). This strain was THE best for pain management. I was able to help 10 patients kick opioid addictions with this strain. Took 3 months of smoking 1oz a week. These were long term (years) of opioid users.

I made a tincture with DN flower and only took that after I had a knee surgery. Zero pain pills....but I did need to take 30x 100mg doses in 7 days.

I've done quite a bit of mixing thc, cbd, cbg strains. Mixing extracts for edibles for patients.

Now I strictly dab pure thc distillate that I make. Going on 7yrs now.
