So I have this male plant which was taken out of bloom and reveged since about a week ago. Now I just want to bloom it where it sits but I want a clue as to when it'll produce pollen so I can take extra caution for my females.

When the sacs open up to start revealing the little "bananas" inside of them, you'll be spilling pollen very soon. I'd guess youre maybe days away in this pic. If you are trying not to spill pollen on anything, I'd move it now. Once they are ready to dump pollen, just the slightest bump will release a ton of pollen.

Damn, I should have let it bloom. I'm going to collect as much pollen as I can but It's in a smaller grow box with an 8 in. exhaust fan. The box is located 2 ft. from my grow tent with 5 females. So by extra caution, I mean placing a soaking wet towel in front of the exhaust.

You can probably get some pollen from the sacs that are currently on it now. Clip off some of the male parts and let them dry for a day or so on a piece of cardboard, then bust em open to retrieve the pollen and keep it in a vial or something along those lines. Store it in your fridge if it isnt something you will be using right away. Sound slike you already know that moisture is the enemy when it comes to pollen.

Oh that soon? It turns out, collecting pollen is not such a meticulous process. Well starting today I'll re-bloom them to make sure, cut individual branches, dry them, and shake the pollen out over sheets of news paper. I'll consider flour as a long term storage medium.

gonna have to try this, sounds easier than my iso chambers which held too much moisture to collect pollen anyways, even with the fans.

Or you could cut off a few branches and put them in water (like cut flowers) and they can mature the rest of the way like that off in an area that you dont have to worry about pollenation. Keep some paper under the flowers to collect any that open before you get to tappin the pollen out of em.

Would that work? I have female clones in water on bloom time but I don't think the flowers would mature.
