NorthernLights (indoor/outdoor)

Pure Strain

Product code: NL

Type/subspecies*: Mostly indica

Flowering period**: 8-9 weeks indoor

Potency: Strong

Growth Pattern: Medium/short height, stout, uniform, productive branching.

Breeders comment: Couchlock, medicinal-use, low-odor, simple and easy to grow. Classic, original, indoor strain.

I can't find any of my photos of the IBL, only crosses, but she seems pretty authentic. Not a lot of terps, and of what there is, myrcene is probably the most prominent. Really nice for making F1's as she provides potency and yield but generally allows the other parent's characteristics to dominate taste and smell.

I've tried a few others, Nirvana and maybe Royal Queen and also something from Seedsman. They tended to be more sweet tasting. I don't remember any standing out.

Nirvana had that old school narcotic type buzz, the plant itsself was damn near impossible to kill.

Survived everything from snow to over 100 degree temps.

Had a sem sweet smell, kinda like you cured your weed in a cedar chest for a few weeks.

It was pretty light on the terps, which was great for growing outside before legalization.

I was hoping you would have something to say about that. ?
Probably wouldn't have without the prompt. Still find it weird when people ask me questions about growing.

It's been a while, but I still feel like a noob a lot of the time. Especially here, I'm happy to let more knowledgeable and skilled growers provide answers, as I always presume there is someone who knows more than I do.

Check out Authentic Genetics, I dont see anything but crosses available now, but I got an email a few weeks back that he was running a limited release of NL #5... Maybe you might get lucky if you shoot him an email?

Also check out Empyrean seeds formerly Lighthouse seeds. They were working NL last couple years from watching IG. Just were a little pricey so I had passed and grabbed the cheaper ssh cross from them.
Just a peek so you get an idea ?.

Oh damn, this is good to know! I just grew one of the Lighthouse GMO lines and I've been trying to find more info on it. Thought they had just closed up shop. Now I know who to reach out too.
