Like we couldn't have guessed. 😜A nice little snook ( related to pike ) the wife caught and released .
Cheers mate . I’m still wearing flip flops so it’s not officially cold yet 👊🏻. Started to chill ( our version of chill ) after midnight .Like we couldn't have guessed. 😜
Thanks for the photos, RJ. With the heavier clothing it almost looks familiar.
That's gotta hurt...
I like the look though . Maybe not the stuff of successful job interviews but a manic Metal fan concert look could work .

As is my way , I got sidetracked a few times and stuffed around so it probably took me longer than it should have . I think it was around an hour an a half to two hours scaling and filleting then boning them but not skinning . The skin is nice texture wise so it’s pleasant to eat .How long does it take to clean that haul? Do you gut and skin them or just fillet?
I tend to dislike cleaning fish more than I like eating them, especially in the winter, or I'd keep more than I do.
I don't mind so much in the summer, but in the winter, by the time I get home the fish are on the verge of frozen. I generally have to stop a time or two during the process to allow the feeling to come back to my fingers. After being bundled up against the cold all day, I just want to get warm.I don’t mind cleaning fish but it’s definitely not top of my favourite hobbies list .
I thought after your earlier comment it must be a bitch trying to clean fish in those winter temps . The only advantage is you don’t need ice in your esky to keep the fish .I don't mind so much in the summer, but in the winter, by the time I get home the fish are on the verge of frozen. Around here it's my burning charisma and charm that bring the heat, but for most it's gas furnaces. What’s the most common form of heating in Canada .
$400 bucks !!!!!!Around here it's my burning charisma and charm that bring the heat, but for most it's gas furnaces.
Many supplement with wood, but having a wood burning apparatus can drive up your insurance. My neighbor just told me a friend of his was told his insurance would go up over $400/mo if he added a wood-stove. That seems ludicrous, but that's what he said.
Well they are usually smaller in the coldI'm getting the open water gear out and man, does a 7 foot rod look huge after fishing with 32-36" ice rods all winter.
