I have to admit I wouldn’t want to live in that area but the South of USA has some beautiful countryside . Don’t mind watching those shows on TV , Gator boys , Moonshiners etc . Just wish they’d put Subtitles as an option

Walking Dead was filmed all around the county here. Stranger Things, Rectify, Watchmen, Insatiable all within an hour or less of here. They're building studios at a clip around here. Cheap, skilled (now) non-union labor and no wildfires or mudslides to contend with!
They also filmed Hunger Games here, but only the crappy district she originally came from. So, apparently, Middle Georgia is the choice to represent post-apocalyptic America! So we got that going for us!

Lol I kind of find it like trying to understand a heavy Scottish accent as well . I catch a few words and then try and put the pieces together with intuition .

You know, you can turn on the subtitles!! Hell, I'm from the South and I can't understand these bayou people. The problem with southern accents is that they can change dramatically every hundred miles or so. Hollywood never gets it right.

LOL yeah, Scottish is quite an accent. I have a "wee bit" of that in my family tree. Mainly German and Irish, but there's a bit of Scottish in there; just enough to make my ancestry the top 3 alcohol producing places LOL.
