With high hopes for his recently flushed Hempy's PH reading, WillieP pours a quart of 5.7 PH nutrients gently over the top of his bucket...
Our hero's high hopes are quickly dashed when the reading of the runoff shows a PH of 6.5.
With a saddened heart, WillieP begins to flush one again...(heavy sigh)!

x2 Doesnt look like shes got too far to go either.
Hey Red,
I think you are right on that one. Really surprised that this is finishing so quickly.
I am at day 48 from flip to 12/12. I anticipated this to be closer to a 9-10 week strain.
I am curious if the PH pen calibration fiasco I had would of had an effect on the plant, or if this is just the normal timing.
I guess I would need to run it again to find out.
Todays pics:
Hair free bud shot...(I hope)

wow, mostly cloudy at day 48?! that's pretty quick I'd say. What are you using to get your macro shots? looks way more convenient than standard scoping, that's for sure.
I'm not sure this is the exact one I have but I believe they are all about the same. I chose to go with the wireless model.
One of the best $42.00 I've spent on equipment. It takes a little practice but it just Wifi's to your phone or tablet, pretty simple once you get on to it.

As I mentioned earlier I am surprised that this Durban Poison plant is maturing as quickly as it appears to be.
I was thinking that this would be a 9-10 week strain.
These photos are from this evening, day 53 from flip to 12/12.
I have never ran this strain, nor have I ran a pure sativa strain.
I would like to have this be an 'up' kinda daytime high, and don't want to let it go to long, but on the other hand I don't want to chop to early and not max out the potential harvest.
This is only my third harvest, (ever) and I simply don't have the experience to feel confident about making the call on when to harvest for the desired effect.
Any of you more experienced growers that would like to look over the photos and give you opinion of when you would harvest this plant, are certainly more that welcome to do so. I would appreciate your inputs.
Thanks in advance,
WillieP

I'm thinkin she's a couple more weeks out. without seeing the full plant, it's a hard call. I only estimate about 1-3% amber at this point, and knowing sativas go through phases of maturation it could be two days, a week, three weeks, or more. she looks healthy from what you showed, and close.

I don't think you will regret your decision.
One trick I have found is to take the picture using your phone rather than using the button on the scope.
Pushing the button on the scope seems to move it and affects picture quality.
Hope you have success with it.
(not that I would wish this on anyone, but it will make a mite look the size of a ladybug as well.)

Cheers,
WillieP

Well she's been another week, and we are still moving forward.
Things are looking pretty close, hopefully by this weekend.
This is the DP today, 61 days from flip to 12/12.

I have up-potted the two remaining soil plants to 2 gallon fabric pots, and they are loving it.
The hempy plant is still looking rough, I do not seem to be able to get the PH under control.
It may not be worth the struggle and stress, (read 'I think it's days are numbered.).
The '1968' plant looks fantastic! I just took 5 cuttings from it yesterday. One of the other growers was able to collect pollen from a male '1968' and has offered some of it to me, so I will be able to produce seeds of it. Pretty excited, because that will be a first for me.

Cheers,
WillieP
