Willie's Supercalifragilistic Gummy Recipe

There's no everclear taste as I purge the oil by decarbing at the end after all the solvent has been evapped off. Generally using ISO for it. It's not cleaned up to be smokeable as that removes too much medicine. Just found a good paper on extracting with ISO and why it's a good way to do it. EverClear can be used to clean it up but much less of that is needed. I haven't read the whole procedure yet.

RSO 2.0 A Classic Recipe Updated

I was at Michaels with the wife and almost bought some of their molds but really wanted the cannabis ones for meds. No mix-ups when I give friends some of each kind. I should be getting big batches of CBD and THC oils lab tested so I can calculate out the doses I want. The CBD oil is going to have a noticeable amount of THC in it so trying to find a strain for all CBD only. Might have one but haven't sprouted the seeds yet.

For lots of pot themed molds and such PJ Bold has lots. Wish they had a store in Canada tho.

I got my leaf molds from PJBold. I wish Michaels had them. The blue silicone molds from there are top notch quality....best molds I have seen in person! I like the leaf molds as the candy seems to dry faster and it tells what it is as well.

I just checked I still have a quart of chocolate in the cabinet......hmmmmm

Come As You Are
I can't believe I couldn't find this thread... smdh.

A couple of questions:

Do you see any reason the corn syrup couldn't be substituted with agave nectar or honey?

I can get a small amount of Goji OG terps if I don't stall too long. The original talk was to make a plain green cake with the terps but I figured the heat would destry most of them so we're exploring options. I assume the heat in this scenario would dissipate most of them as well.

Also, I know I'm posting pineapple but I'm on a coconut kick right now. That plan is to convert the kief in coconut oil and do the plain gelatin recipe with a touch of coconut extract to drive the point home.

I have 10 molds with 8 worms on them

I use the corn syrup for moldability........makes them come out close to perfect. I also think it helps lock that oil in.......so the gummies don't have sticky/oily back sides. You do have to watch using real juices for a similar reason........it can effect the set..........using the real gelatin can help with that better than boxed jello can.

This week Michaels has their halloween molds on for 40% off... the ghosts and tombstones work the best (4 of these weigh 48 grams....4 of my regular gummies way 24 grams so they are 2 gummies each.
50 grams of PCG Banana Durban Gushers and 3 grams of very clean RSO into 100 gummies...they are pretty strong
50 X 25 =12500 less 20% transfer loss = 10,000 mg of THC into 120 candies = about 80mg each. Then the 2700MG from the RSO puts them to right on 100mg each normal one or 200 for the ghosts and tombstones.

I had one tombstone. The math feels right. :D

Oh these are orange (i use guar gum and liquid sunflower lethicin to keep them together, and platinum food grade gelatin with my jello...super easy mixing).

@Willie are you only using plain gelatin now for all flavors, or do you still use a jello/gelatin mix? I ask because if you're using just plain gelatin what do you use for flavoring and what is the ratio? Are most of the ingredients on your list available on Amazon?

I believe he used the plain with anise extract to make a licorice gummy

Jello is the flavor gummy.

And we have both done a lot of flavor research. Personally I think you should just stick to Strawberry, Cherry or Raspberry.

The color stays RED....the flavors are very good at masking most weird shit....and they can taste REALLY good.

Berry Blue for example....its meh in flavor and turns berry green....citric flavors double up on the bitterness of the addititves...and grape turns dog shit brown...tastes great but..meh

:D

I made 200 on Wednesday....man when you get it right....they just work. Transport in the sun to a congealed mass.....had to show them what to do with a remelt....you dont have molds but do you have nice clean pyrex and some non stick spray.

Oh i had to McGyver it....but ....they WORKED... In the summer add twice the guar and twice the lethicin and they will hold the fat better...if you push that 50 50 water to fat ratio.

Oh i push it...i push it real good.

Thanks for the tips OldG. The reason I ask about Amazon is cuz itโ€™s convenient and I get 5% back using their card. Since I pay the whole balance off itโ€™s very worth it and adds up.

No, I only use the plain jello with extracts. Like Anise extract for licorice gummies. You have to play with the sugar also. Or no sugar. A diabetic has a hard time with the boxed jello recipe, but the plain gelatin, xylitol(sugar substitute), and flavored extract.......they are diabetic friendly. As for the ratio that depends on how strong a flavor you are using. The black licorice took a whole bottle for example.
Other than that I use the boxed jello. There is a small amount of plain jello in the regular recipe, but the box flavor dictates what they are.

Lately, I'm just taking the oil straight or on something like salad or popcorn. It's very good on popcorn!

Cherry might be my favorite. Then strawberry, then grape, then mango, ............no lemon, lime, orange or berry blue for me :)

Do you think sucralose (Splenda) would work? Otherwise Iโ€™ll just go regular Jello. Iโ€™d mostly be making em for friends n family anyway.

It will probably work well. Splenda is heat stable and not bad for baking. And it's 1:1 substituting
for sugar

Boxed Jello is a little easier to process,
