Wood Lovers- Psilocybe Cyanescens- past and future

This is a few older pics of the wood loving species Psilocybe Cyanescens. Also known as Wavy caps.
They were started from a print to syringe, to grain spawn, to various substrates and finally to wood chips.
These took a long time to finally get fruit indoor.
They did produce many flushes a couple times a yr for several years.
The mycelium is still alive from the original setup in 2013-2014 and will be transferred to fresh materials (wood) later in this thread :).

That's awesome looking.
So they've been just hanging out for 6 yrs, like in stasis or such?
Pardon any noob questions about them, because I am a total noob to growing them. Lol.
Love to take on the hobby though, always loved my mushrooms.
Following along here and going to get my learn on going on. ???

Man that's a beaut! Something about that commands respect. Kinda like a decade old honeycomb. So much life reaching out, so much teaching they can give and learning to be had.
This seems to be more advanced than the more common cubensis teks.

Yup, pretty much. The larger block was in a milk crate lined with a trash bag. It was removed for the photographs and returned to the crate. It has been sitting in the dark, in the same spot on my basement floor the whole time.
The mycelium has devoured all but about an inch of the wood chips and only a few chips still have growth. I water during the drier parts of the year.
Right now its sitting in standing ground water that seeps in through the old foundation. Temps on the floor stay 55º to 65ºF all year.
I haven't attempted fruiting/mushrooms in the crate since 2016-2017.

Thanks @spyralout. Patience, timing, trial and error, and the right conditions (temps, RH, and moisture content) are what makes these a bit more difficult indoor. Not everyone has a location that provides these conditions reliably.
I have seen many successful outdoor patches. From all over the US and Canada. ;)

More to come in the following days

Thanks for the kind words macsnax. This will be a long term project to re- establish a fruiting sub, If i am able.
I will be trying/showing a few methods of transferring/ multiplying what living myc I have available. Some may succeed, others may not.
The journey is almost as fun as reaching the destination. And its a long one with Ps Cyans.
Next up.. hehe.. Pans and Cubes, print to fruit, if all goes as planned. which it rarely does :p

Awesome man, this is gonna be good. The wood lover thing is very interesting, but I think I better get a firm grip on cubes first. I've been trying get ahold of doc for some APE, think that's my next one.
