I'm all about convenience. If Amazon can deliver great nugs at a good price, I'll happily shut down the bud tents yesterday and bring in a blue velvet pool table after disposing of the tents and lights.
That’s one hell of a big IF. You’re def gonna get nugs delivered, doubt they will be any good unless Amazon skips growing it, and let’s local businesses list their harvests, then use Amazon’s shipping infrastructure to deliver.

Amazon jumping on board in support of Federal Legalization has me in a bit of ah I do not know.
If the feds do a great job of taxing cannabis like California has we could be OK but there is still the large corporations to consider. I myself am pretty confident either the tobacco or beer manufacturers already have business plans set up for federal legalization of cannabis, this could be the nail in the coffin for the small home growers. I just have to think about a few things and I would think they will be considered if cannabis is federally legalized. Will the feds realize how this would impact the public. Not so much the consumer but the black market. They have to be aware of all of the small home growers out there and I would hope they realize the economic impact it would have, sure they would generate more taxes but they would also inherent all of the small growers that big business will put out of business. The small growers would become a burden on feds in the form of welfare and such.

Why not?

With the resources they have - unlimited - why wouldn't they put out top flyte buds? The coffee I buy from them, for example - their 'Happy Belly' brand - is by far the best home brew I've ever had, and it's cheap.

I buy everything grow related from them except seeds, and the rare item that is subpar is quickly picked up for a refund or exchange. In fact, aside from groceries, I likely buy 90% of everything else from them, and 2 - 5 days later the UPS guy drops it off. S w e e t !

~gu was able to buy his loudest and most derisive critic a couple of years ago who happily kneeled down to his slurp once he negotiated a large and guaranteed salary. Amazon will use the same strategy, for growers and seed makers alike should they go after the weed $$$$. They didn't get to where they are by selling subpar goods.

You and I have had very different experiences with Amazon lol. From where I sit, that's exactly how they got where they are....appealing to our inherent laziness. Amazon is just flooded with cheap Chinese garbage knock offs of products these days.

Also, really Amazon got where it is by peddling Amazon Web Services. They only started turning a profit off Amazon shopping after introducing Prime and then their own product brands. Before that Amazon shopping was basically just an insanely clever PR campaign to make them a household name. But that's a whole separate conversation.

Except that they usually offer the item that the knock off is knocked off of.

The key, amigo, is not simply purchasing the lowest cost selection. Although that's worked well for me, and with free pick up/returns, there's no risk.

Sure ... I could shop WalMart and sometimes do. The only difference is Fed Ex vs UPS, and my UPS guy doesn't bitch about the amount of steps on the front porch.

I haven’t had the best experience with amazon branded items, and I just tend to not have very much faith in large scaled operations. I can only assume a company like Amazon would automate this process as much as possible, producing mediocre flowers in extremely large batches.

I sincerely hope I’m wrong. It’s not lost on me that this could be the endorsement we’ve all been waiting for. I am excited that this could be the thing that tips the scales in our favor regarding federal legalization. I am also excited for the implications it has for small business being able to reach markets they wouldn’t necessarily be able to reach. I am hopeful, but really fuckin suspicious at the same time.
