Cruisin' along here. 3 weeks into bloom. Just seeing things start to kick in.

Took 9 clones from the Colorado Blueberry....all of which have rooted and slapped in some OF. The clones from the #1 plant were/are the largest/strongest but everyone is doing AOK. Kinda doin what I can to stall em a bit so they don't veg too fast and slam into the rear end of this current flower cycle too hard. Not gonna be tons of room in the tent to accomodate 'em. My timing is a bit screwed up....LOL. I'll likely have to use my outdoor shed room to span the gap and start my outdoor veg plants cus I kinda got a bit overzealous. Fathom that.

Heehee.....a new grow style. 2 ft t-5 laying on it's side.....small baskets tipped @ a 45 degree angle. Didn't wanna put the big light up top and have em take off so they are chillin and taking it slow/making roots rather than stem.

I think I'll initiate a >Stay At Home< order here as well and contain my comments/pics/tunes/etc. here in my own thread.

Kinda like real life...I don't usually mesh with the mainstream well.... and I don't feel a need to most of the time unless it's a choice/necessity or I don't think yer a dickhead. This makes it easier on everyone.

Got the new toy unboxed and put in it's new home. Fuckin A is this thing heavy...and huge. Lucked out that my old table saw is almost the same height as my truck bed so we kinda slid it off onto the saw and I was able to wheel it in and scoot it onto the cabinet. Otherwise...with the current virus BS...I dunno WTF I would have done cus I sure wasn't gonna call my buddy up the road. I put the wife through some serious shit movin things in the past but with the cost of this unit and the overall weight of this I didn't think it wise to have her on the other side of this one.

Nah. Just not my thing. I think I missed the competition gene somewhere along the way. Sure don't need no seeds........ Enjoy.
How've you been down there anyways?
Haven't read any new stuff from ya lately. Hope all is good on the homestead.
Miss reading yer posts.
Things here are just drifting along and about the same as every other day. Lol.
Smoking weed and doin stuff. ???
I'm guessing the outdoor spot is about ready?
Got my planters mixed up a few weeks ago now.
A few more weeks and it'll be outdoor gardening time here. Not weed, but lots of other stuff. Lol
Soon as this pandemic crap is over a trip down to visit I think is in order. ???

LOL. I guess I'm just enjoying all of this solitude too much. Not much to say, really. What day is it anyway?

In the scheme of things with the virus and the market free fall these days, the cost of the freeze dryer honestly hasn't even crossed my mind. At least it's a tangible item.

Still playin' in the tent. A few more weeks on round 2 of MaiTai crosses....just dropped the Colorado Blueberry clones into the tent as well. Will start some selections for the outdoor garden soon. (already have a bunch of veggies starts going for that side of things).

Like the rest of ya...I dunno what summer will bring. Just doing what we do and adjusting as we go. Colorado is gonna start slowly opening back up April 27th.
We plan to continue doing as we have been doing and will likely continue to stay at home until we see how the experiment goes.

I am jealous of that freeze drier, not just for smoke but vegetables & herbs too. Bet it is worth every cent, I don’t have space but have a small one.

Your vegetables are started in the greenhouse? Are you still getting frosts?

Been wet here but looks like it is over after today. Vegetables go out soon. Weirdest year ever.

We start tomatoes/peppers/squash/cucumbers/cabbage inside. Onions are out in the raised/hooped beds but are covered with clear plastic. A bit of garlic as well. Strawberries are greening up. Asparagus is pushing up a bit. Gonna plant beets in the next few.....and some cabbage in a week or so....but nothing else will be transplanted/planted outside until the first of June...IF the nighttime lows cooperate.

We're still dealing with freezing temps @ night currently....but it is starting to warm a bit. We're still in need of some moisture. Might be a bit of RAIN tonight (the first time it may rain rather than snow since late October) ....but after that...nothing for the 14 duration and temps hitting 80F/lows mid 40's. Still can't chance planting things outside though because we could still see a snowstorm/freezing temps in May and frost into June. Grass is greening in the yard cus I've been watering the fuck out of it....but everything else is still brown here but a few jonquils. No leaves/etc. for at least 3 more weeks.

Haven't touched the Freeze dryer. Need to run out the little bit of trim I have and make some bubble.....so I may give it a try if I get my shit together.

Haven't done anything towards the outdoor garden yet either. Still need get some seeds going and break down the planters/clean out roots/etc from last year. Not really in a huge hurry because I'm shooting for a bit smaller plants and less take overall. It's just too much to fuck with at once. I never even ran any trim from last year and still have bubble hash in the cabinet from 2018. I still have bud left from last year and have been squishing old nugs and tossing it at family/friends who have lost their incomes. I call it "Stiicky's Stimulus Package".

Like i say...time will tell about what Summer brings and when we open the Ranch up to visitors/etc. Mick isn't coming til late August unless his Festival is cancelled. My son is unemployed...so it's gonna be a toss up mentally if (when) he runs out of $$$ between living in the camper or if I start paying his rent/bills where he is. Like a buncha folks..his attitude and future vision isn't real good right now as far as employment/government/future fun tickets.

Shit is running downhill fast these days. We're just doing what we can to stay the fuck out of the way and stay healthy/virus-free. Everything el$e will $hake out $omehow...

be safe out there and stay the fuck at home if you can.

You are hitting 80 degrees there already? We have not gotten there yet but maybe next week. Putting out tomatoes today. First sunny day in awhile.

I am with you with growing less this year, I too am still trying to empty my 2018 still but I find that I am weak, I can’t stop chucking beans, so many strains I want to try. I am considering enrolling in a 12 step program.

That is a pretty lineup you have going in there. Your tent looks so spacious compared to my dinky thing.

Hot here, not a cloud in the sky. About time. Doing yard work in the heat the last couple days...I am now ready for it to cool back off.

Started the first tray of outdoor grow today. Glad I stuck to my guns to tone it down this year. :p

Day 46 on the 2nd wave of MaiTai4 crosses. Definitely some nice plants in the mix here. A few of these will definitely go outside this year.

So after some time with em and getting used to the change to led, how are you liking the new setup? Really curious to see how you'd rate them after some longer term usage.
Especially now after you've ran a decent number of plants under em.
I can see the dankness, but Ive always seen that from yer grows. ???

There are 3-4 out of view in that pic. Was a point & shoot pre-coffee this AM so not the best shot. This little camera does take nice macros though for what it is. (Nikon Coolpix 570 I grabbed from my dad's stuff when he passed) The tent is fairly full...16 from this wave.....and 9 clones slammed in there under everyone else that will get the run of the place for a bit until the next grouping hits. Gonna start my outdoor selections and another wave for the tent tonight. Might as well. It's gonna be a long Summer and I think I'm gonna have the time on my hands to juggle a few extra things ....and nobody is coming...and if they do we're gonna tell em we're sick/go the fuck away or DIE...LOL........so play we will.

I like the LED's. Sure will be nice to run a few cycles this Summer and not worry about heat. Couldn't really do it here/in the tent under HID without major mods. My old set up with my UC/bigger soil grows under HID were raging with 10" inlines and I moved a buncha air. With these LED's I'll just open a few windows and move the typical amount of air I move through the tent and it should be AOK. With the cold here in winter I now know I need a 600 hps in there to boost temps and to move the humidity out periodically to keep things from condensing/etc.

Can't really judge about "frost" levels/if the LED pulls more out than HID cus I keep running new strains I haven't ran..and everything is from seed. Overall...as with all seed grows...I think individual cultivars often shine and these newfangled genetics are really hard to fuck up. I'm seeing colors on this second MaiTai run as well...but not as vivid as the last run....so either the pH was just enough off last time or the cold sent em over the edge. Either way, I can see this run will likely offer a bit more yield per plant...especially if everyone hardens up a bit in the last 10 days or so as I saw happen last run.

Snagged a few other toys I've been eyeing. Kinda fucked up.....searched for a "Soil pH pen"......saw this cool Hanna pen.....then let it slide for a few days and went back to order it.... and when I did I hit the wrong button and ended up ordering a "Soil EC Pen" thinking it was the pH model. when it came I was like "you fuckin idiot".....and thought about sending it back....but thought again and just said fuck it. All of it will likely just confuse me...LOL...i'm so used to just reading plants... not meters....but it will be interesting to see if I can make any sense out of it. It's definitely a new game with the deionized water in the mix.... (coming Monday).

Goin' back to organics as well for this Summer's fun. Will supplement here/there with a few bottles of snake oils I really like along the way....but am gonna build a 32 gallon ACT brewer and run compost/WC/compost activated teas in both the weed garden and the veggie garden this go around. The Megacrop experiment went "OK" last year... and it's easy-peasy....but I miss fuckin around with some good bat/worm shit or some stanky fish/seaweed and I didn't like the never-ending Nitrogen whap that just seemed to keep coming with the MC.....even after ceasing application in week 5. Anybody run ACT/a microbulator to know if that is the way to go over a big ass air disc and just bubbling the fook out of it? Kinda intrigued with the microbulator approach but have a bunch of 8" air discs leftover from the foray into running Under Current systems a decade ago. Can go either way....

Heehee......."microbulator"??? I forgot most of you are still playing with hydro and pre-mixed bottles/powders. The chems and stuff were what I warred with on those grows. Always tried to go organic. Always got slammed to the mat with root rot/etc. Ran "Zone"/ a sterile res for a bit there but God...what a boring set up with only one focu$ that wa$. To each their own though. Glad I did it/made all that $$$ doing it....but sure don't miss any of the hydro aspects of it. If i never have to wash Hydroton again I'll be a happy guy. LOL.

I decided to give Rapid Rooters a shot in the old seed popping game for the outdoor fun rather than doing paper towels/soaking/etc.etc.etc. I did enough seeds and enough variety that it seemed like it'd be a pain to drop seeds in bags/find a spot to warm em all/etc.....so i just booted up a 1/2 tray of Rapids and we'll see what happens in a few days. Might pop some more cus......why not? Quarantine is a good thing. Sure as Hell will have the time to tend em if this keeps up all summer...and it will. Just print out one of those Red stickers you can easily find on the Net that says "BEWARE! COVID-19 on premises"...post it on the gat.e... and let it fuckin fly........ heehee....

Gotta go searching in my crap to see if I can hobble together a compost tea brew bucket without a trip to town. Ah....the new "normal".

I am a big fan of the all organic route, I think we get better flavor. Easy to do that with the indoor grows but the summer outdoor needs to go a lot longer. Teas & top dressing supplements required for me. With all your space you are growing in much larger pots, yours may have enough nutrition. I am usually 1n 7-10 gals in my urban setting.

I make lots of teas, I use a big trash can, I cut a hose valve into the bottom. That was a problem with the winter outdoor, they were constantly wet so I could not apply the teas.

I have had my eye on that Hanna PH Soil Pen for years, not cheap, let me know how that works for you.
