Anyone ever rode "The Dragon" in Tennessee? I used to ride in a club, and most members would go there for a week every yr.

I forgot about the '85 Honda spree I had. Some fakers stole it. It was a police recovery, and I had to rewire the entire thing. Thanks to honda for sending me the wiring diagram, and my auto technology background I repaired it. I wrecked that damn thing also. The road tore me up!!
I haven’t ridden it but drove it in a Miata, definitely not as cool lol

I bought my first bike when I was 17, a 1981 Suzuki GS750E that was missing keys and a few parts. Got keys made, found the parts I needed, cleaned the carbs and threw it together. It was a great bike for $200.

Later I bought a 1980 Honda CB 650 and a parts bike for $350, it had a lowering kit in the rear and a sticker where the muffler should be, "Loud pipes save lives". It was really fun to just cruise around on, and it was always nice to have a spare bike for friends to ride.
Haha -that reminds me of MY first bike. An acquaintance brought it over in a box and sold it to me for $40 and I had to put it back together. It had burned valves, ran like shit, sounded like shit, but as long as I kept RPMs above 1500 it kept running. I think it was a 250CC Honda and the year was 1982.

I have a 1980 Honda Cb 750. Got it last year, cruised all summer.
Has some electrical problems. Drains the battery, if you ride for awhile and turn it off it won't start again until it's on the trickle charger for awhile. Otherwise I think it's an ok first bike.

Check the stator, or you possibly have a open circuit fault. Electrical gremlins are  fun to track down. Id you have an ohm meter, that can help tremendously.

On my old 04 cbr 1000rr, the stator pooped out 2hrs from home while in a ride. It was fun coordinating a truck to get her home. Then I fabricated a custom stator mount for the bike. I even sold a few dozen to fellow cbr 1000rr/600rr owners.

The color shift photographs in an interesting way with flash.

Haven't been out yet this year. Alot of people around here have, had a nice 65 degree day. I just want to wait until the roads get a good rain to clean em and maybe the streetsweepers come out again.

I've followed this thing since 2006 or so, when I got the 2 wheeled bug again.
If my sense of direction and GPS following skills, did not suck so badly, I'd love running in this.
They did bump the engine size to 300 cc's max.
