So what I think I'm going to do is notify the waitlist folks (16 at the moment) a few minutes before the drop that they are live so they have the first crack. Does that sound fair?

I'm superstitious about presales as I've seen them go bad in the past.
I understand and I just want to clarify that I was in no way complaining or trying to say your system isn’t fair. But I will admit to trying to circumvent the entire process of waiting for the drop lol, I’m a blue collar boy and for whatever reason I always seem to get busy right at the worst moments. Or just forget entirely, I think that happens the most. Either way, I’ve been on the waitlist since the first day it showed up and I am going to do my best to jump on there n Snag me a pack or two of these. the extra little time for the waitlist is perfect, so thank you is what I meant to say lol.

I didn't take it that way at all, no worries! ☮️

You raise a good point though not everybody can get to a computer at the designated time, I feel like TicketBastard, but I'm not sure how else I can give everyone a fair shot. ?

The Japanese have a Queuing system for getting seeds to multiple people but I don't think Bukake is the answer for this one.

For you outdoor growers, just a heads up these are dropping tonight at 00:01 ?

Andorian (F1)

Explicitly bred for outdoor cultivation Andorian comes with remarkable flower yields and excellent rosin production. This special cultivar made from two old-school legends is exactly what you're looking for this coming outdoor season.

Andorian also does excellent indoors, but her true home is under the sun. Tastes are fruity forward, with a pine follow-up from the Romulan, and a very nice finish of Haze flavors. Smells are similar, with mainly fruity notes being detected. Very homogeneous with only slight variations found. Thick branches and stems, very hearty and vigorous plants.

I'm interested in outdoor strains that are pest & mold resistant!!! :chasing tail:
Do you know where this strain was tested?
I live in the PNW, where plants need to start fast & finish fast to be successful here.
It usually gets cold and wet around Oct 1 so plants must finish ASAP.

I ran three packs of "Fast Purple" by Copa last year and results were very good. They didn't start fast, but they did put on weight fast and finished in 7-8 weeks.
The rainy season started a few weeks late, so probably dodged a bullet...
My favorite pheno is mostly grapefruit & pine. Sticky & stoney without being overpowering.
Zero male flowers and no unwanted seeds so far.

Not sure if I would recommend it for the PNW but it's probably perfect for "normal" climates.

I’m looking at COPAs Project 25
I ran a pack of Project 25 a couple of years ago. It did well under somewhat "unfriendly circumstances" (extreme neglect). ?
It wasn't my favorite smoke, but that could have been due to a host of deficiencies.

Ended up with 4 females; one didn't make it to harvest, thanks to PM.
Two of the 3 remaining plants grew like sativa on steroids and ended up being long & lanky AF.

The other one was the fastest finishing plant I've ever grown, and I regret not taking a clone.
It was completely done around Sept 15! Not as big as the other 2, but still pretty good yield.

They all finished in 2 gallon bags, which was a mistake on my part. Had they been in 30 gallon pots, who knows...?

I should run it again. :weedleaf:

--- edit ---

I also ran a pack of "Maine Event" by Copa and was impressed with the results!
They definitely didn't finish fast, but our rainy season started a few weeks late, so it worked out. (pure luck)
These plants were fucking HUGE and could have gotten bigger in larger pots. (They were in 15-gallon cloth pots w/shrink wrap.)
The smoke is great! Very strong, this is a strain that's both greasy and frosty. Flavor is earthy pine with a funk similar to sweaty socks.

Strain Shopping Your Home Grow with DC Seed Exchange | The Gentleman Toker Podcast Ep 29

Gentleman Toker - Listen on Spotify - Linktree

ab6765630000ba8a8ca9433b211c1437710023d4

The founder of DC Seed Exchange, one of our favorite seed banks, talks about coming up in guerrilla indoor grows back in California's Prop 215 market, the rise of autoflowers, exciting breeding projects on the horizon, and what to consider when shopping for the next strain to grow in your garden. Plus! This week the Gentleman ponders cases of cannabis use as a criminal defense, the welcome news of a bill to amend tax code 280E, and researchers in Israel increasing cannabinoid & terpene production by modifying the plant on the genetic level.
Just listened to the interview, and it was great ! Enjoyed the Calif. mansions backstory, and everything else, including your thoughts on the various breeders you work for. We’re all lucky to have DCSE ! Thank you Paul :clapping:

Come As You Are
Yeah, that interview brought back some memories.
Back in the mid-to-late 80's my buddy Jim's cousin was setting tile in those new mansions in Dana Point, Irvine, Newport... He was setting up a light or two in those places and he'd get one grow out and move to another. That's how I ended up driving delivery for Tile King in Santa Ana. Dude had a fucking sweet '65 Notchback too. Was so jealous.

Also, thanks for addressing the criteria for accepting new breeders, I felt like you were addressing me directly but I'm sre you get a lot of "yOu ShOuLd CaRrY ThEsE GuYs" a lot.

any thought to restricting to buying only 1 pack per person? desperately want to run these outdoors this spring

Well I’m in VT and MA growing conditions a lot different than PNW . This year for outdoors I’m running Humboldt Dream and always room for others I’m going to be using either 25 gallon or maybe Fifty for a couple just to see the difference so I’m going to add some of COPAs gear to it . I’m looking for a fast finisher though just in case of bad weather I’ll throw a couple out there, out of a Five pack of testers hoping for more female than male . Last year I grew Golden Hashplant in 45gallon totes . Every year I get a couple yards of super soil from the farm up the street mix it 5 blocks of Pro Mix HP and give them an all organic regimen. Thanks for the advice??….. All these seeds came through DCSE ?

It helps a lot to actually put in the work to keep your plants healthy.
Heathy plants are WAY more resistant to pests & mold than neglected plants.

I also make sure there's always some compost on top -- especially during flower.
Leave plenty of room in your pots when transplanting and you'll be glad you did.
Big plants in small pots will literally consume an inch of compost in 30 days, no problem-o. When you see roots coming out of the top, the plant is hungry -- even if it looks fine.
It's better to prevent deficiencies than play catch-up...

I grew that Humboldt Dream a couple of years ago and it's not an early finisher. October 10-15th. Not to be a hater but I was really disappointed with the buds, didn't smell like much. Kinda a muted expression when I was expecting higher terps according to their website. Could have been my shitty growing though.

This is what I need honesty ??. What is a great yielder outdoor because I turn it all into oil , rosin ?.I’m looking for something of a yielder but has terps also and I wasn’t reading anywhere about Humboldt Dream terps

I'm not against your idea.

There are some folks out there that enjoy hunting through numbers that would encompass multiple packs...

It's a tough conundrum for sure.

Come Sunday, I've got a feeling that the weed gods will be smiling on you @meangreen , and your path to the Sarsaparilla seeds will be successful.

Message sent. After 10 years of growing outside and experimenting with different genetics I've found that it's best to get your' outdoor seeds from outdoor growers that actually grow for personal smoke. I grew 3 different strains from Humboldt Seed Co, including their award winning Blueberry muffin. It was a joke, low terp mids that I threw away. I threw away my entire harvest of HSC, first time ever bc I just didn't want to smoke any of it.
Their promise of 10 pounders are also a lie, they grow no bigger than any other plant.

Oddly enough I now see their seed packs discounted at most vendors. You can only go so far with hype and fancy packaging but after a while people are gonna grow out those packs and want to smoke them and realize what mass production of seeds gets you.
sorry for the rant but I feel like I should warn people based on my experience. Wish I had my year and money back.
