True Herb Decarbing/Infuser discount until the end of July

Hey......It's been a long time, but the manufacturer of the infuser that I was testing has begun selling them. The manufacturer is still Dulytek, but has established a new company for the infusers/decarbing units. This one is far beyond the crude sample that I tested way back then against the Ardent FX, and even then; it was spot on against the FX.
My new sample is on the way, and I will review it here after it arrives.

They have sent me a discount code that is good until the end of July 2023.

They are also on Amazon, but code only works here:

The Dulytek site is here:
www.dulytek.com

Looks like the best of both worlds with Ardent, and Levo combined. Can't wait until mine arrives next week sometime.
Any questions, tell them Buzzer777 sent you.

I will do my best, but if it expires before I get the chance, I MIGHT be able to have the deadline extended a bit for our forum members. They have a link to this thread, and if I am wrong, I'm sure that they will let me know in short order. LMAO
Thanks for posting it up! Sure looks nice.
C'mon TrueHerb - do the kidz at pHenohunter.org a solid!

I have dealt with them many times before in years gone by. They sell quality products and stand behind them. Way back when, I tested a few of their Rosin Presses and was completely satisfied.
They just sent me a tracking number for the unit, and if all goes well, it should be here in plenty of time.

If anyone is interested in a smaller unit; they are making one that will become available in August, on another of their company's websites. I don't have a coupon, but can always ask them if there is interest here. It will come in various colors and is supposed to have some unique features.
My arrival date for the larger one is July 17th, and I will have results well before the posted coupon's expiration.

Keeping my fingers crossed that there is no UPS strike.

Update: After a 2 day UPS delay, the unit is finally at the local depot, so I should have it later today.
If it doesn't arrive too late, I will decarb some weed and make a batch of oil, using the same temp and time settings as I think the Ardent FX uses.
Then I will post my impressions and some picture for those who are interested. Looking forward to it.

So this is for preping to make edibles correct? Very curious about it
Yes, edibles, oil, etc. I have had the ARDENT Nova, and Ardent FX (larger model) and it is a game changer. Having worked with Dulytek testing their rosin presses, I suggested that they make a decarber/infuser to compete with Ardent. Unfortunately there have been delays, mostly caused by the pandemic (made in China, but engineered in the USA))

They sent me a very rough sample before the pandemic hit, and I lost track of the progress. It worked at least as well as the Ardent FX (which I still have), but had much more flexibility with times and temps.

The unit has arrived, but a bit late for me to begin a batch right now.
1st impressions:
Extremely well packaged, and at first glance very well-made, and really nice looking. It looks like it will hold even more product and oil than the FX does. Since the SS basket holds the flower, cleanup should be fast and simple (will advise). It uses a stirrer, like the Levo and has a giant "pod" that looks to hold close to an ounce of chopped weed. (will know more tomorrow)

My usual is an ounce of flower to a cup of virgin organic olive oil.
I will do a bit of reading later, and get things going tomorrow, for a review with pictures.

I think the best way to do this review is in 2 parts.
Part I - Decarb aka activate

I used 26 grams of White Runtz x (Chem Kasey x Monkey Balls) harvested in late June 2023. ***Chem Kasey x Monkey Balls courtesy of @stanknugzz77
26 grams were broken up by hand and barely filled the perforated SS container (pod) halfway up! (amazing capacity, but I never over fill)

After powering up, the unit enters infuse mode with temps preset at 240d F and time set at 30 minutes. I used these settings as my starting test points, but they are easily altered later on (temps go up and down in 5 degree increments).
There was a slight smell, like a new room heater smell, for about a minute as the unit's heater kicked in, and then it dissipated. The lower part of the unit gets warm where the vents are, but is not uncomfortable to hold on to.

It's not necessary (since it doesn't spin in infuse mode), but I pulled off the silicon stirrer until it's needed for infusing. The unit took a good 60+ minutes to reach the operating temperature of 240 before the 30 minute countdown timer began. Comparing these times to the Ardent FX (with no real timer, but indicator lights), they seem comparable, especially considering the Arden't's extended cool down mode.

The unit is almost silent, unless you put an ear right up against the body where you can hear a very slight whirring noise, probably from a fan.
ALMOST NO WEED SMELL in this mode, UNLESS YOU PUT YOUR NOISE RIGHT UP AGAINST THE LID!!!!!!!!!!

The build quality is far better than the Ardent FX imo.

I will begin an infusion cycle shortly, but infusion usually takes even longer. Will post part II later today.

Part II- Infusión

I used the stock settings of 165d F for 120 minutes for my first infusion. (easily changed later) I also used 400 ml of oil which is the amount they spec in the manual. Note, this is about 30% more oil than I use in the Ardent FX and 2 grams less flower (it was what I had lying around...........LOL) I also reattached the silicon stirrer which is also recommended.

The oil was a lot darker than that from the Ardent, and the flower was all chopped up (by the stirrer I presume) but when you lift out the perforated pod, most of the oil drops out into the container below. I used a nylon potato masher to GENTLY get all the goodness out, before tossing the remains.
If you don't want any plant matter in the oil/butter, you could always add a step and pour it through a coffee filter, or cheese cloth. I imagine that this would be good for those making actual edibles and don't want a weed taste. (I put the oil in size 00 gelatin capsules, so the plant matter doesn't matter, and I assume the oil is a tad stronger than if I strained it further.

Another option is not to use the stirrer, but I haven't tried that YET.

I put a few drops under my tongue, and it was at least as strong as the oil from the Ardent FX (maybe stronger). I will know more tonight when I take the capsules before bed. Remember that this 1st batch is much more diluted than what I am used to with the Ardent.

NO SMELL, even in the infusion mode! IMPRESSIVE!

Cleanup was fast and easy...even easier than the Ardent that has no built-in strainer, unless you buy their press/strainer (extra cost option, but still messy.)

Luckily I have enough flower to play with and I will be trying lots of different settings.

Bottom line: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!
