Best budget leds

Ok title says it, I'm really cheap nowadays. I know a few other folks on here are as well.
I've still been entertaining the fantasy of running a legal op, but even if I get the liscence it's unlikely I'll have funds for anything but a basic minimal setup, and the margins are real tight with a small setup. Also I think pricing wise the golden age has past and flooded black markets will hinder legal profits ... plus it's commodifying a sacred plant...
That said, anyone know of any budget leds that are worthwhile?

Just in general. In theory it would be for a very small legal "commercial" grow, so any footprint would work.

Not answering your question, but making a comment on the legal market. The legal market is what is flooding the black market. Huge amounts of material crossing state lines and huge farms that aren't tracked properly. The whole thing seems to be a mess and I'm amazed anyone makes any money with a license....

True, based on listening to the potcast, legal market goes to black market with their excess. Just write it off as destroyed and ship it off to wherever.
SWIM told me black market is 100/oz around here... at that price running legal indoor idk that there's enough margin there to cover overhead... for MN it may be too little too late, at least for indoor ops.
Light dep and greenhouse maybe.

On the potcast they were talking about $50 lbs. Ya that's right, a LB of outdoor in prime season (croptober) for $50 usd per pound. Crazy!....

I get zips off for a bill maybe 120. With being able to order thca and Delta shit they can get it cheaper..but my shit I run if I sell it will go for more. It's not mass produced looking, all the same shape and smell types of weed. The stuff my guy gets me is. I don't even ask what's on the menu. Most of its been the same. $50 bow that's awesome. Probably what my guy gets it for. Lol

I have phlizon QB, one of their small ones and compared to mars or spider farmer type cheap lights it’s MUCH more sturdy and all the dimmers and switches feel legit, used for 2 years now and seems like a fine cheap light

Medic grow all the way, I would wait till 4/20 they always have some amazing deals, I have 2.fold 8s and a y spectrum all performing without glitches, and simple to assemble and hang

Slightly over 50, from Bezos you can get the vipar for 60 if you have prime. I don't believe it or not, I'm stubborn and cheap haha.
Also on sale if you watch em might be able to get em slightly cheaper.

I have both lights myself.

Vevor is 150w and Vipar is 100. Imho 25w/sqft is ok for flower. But the Vevor would allow slightly more obviously.

I just picked up a couple of the HLG Rspec 100W lights for a friend and their 2x4 flower tent. They are $149 delivered so more than a buck a watt, but they use meanwell drivers and Samsung LED's. I liked the small low profile fixtures and how easliy they can be moved/placed. Im still rocking my original meanwell on my DIY cob led's from like 8 years ago and they are still going strong so I feel like these should provide quality as well as performance with a low wattage 14,000 lumen fixture.

Thats exactly where Im at. I'd love to find a nice light for a 2x2 or 2x4 like the medic grows (and price range). Size had me a bit bottlenecked when it came to choosing a good light.

I'm with ya on the Fold 800 @BH love mine, zero issues, rarely sees even 65% power in my 4x4...also what @Chefdave says about 420, they were almost giving them away at Christmas time with low prices and bogo's.
