these colas are so fucking dense i can barely peel them apart. But during my daily inspection I found this…. Should I cut the whole plant down before it spreads, or focus on removing affected areas.

Depends on how much longer. I'd start with removing the damage as best as possible. Adding a fan wouldn't hurt. I've had this happen from a moth larvae dying inside a flower outdoors/greenhouse. I've only had one so far this year. Nasty stuff.

sulphur will ruin the bud in big way. Sulphur is veg only use because of that trait.

I would chop out liberally, all signs of rot, then spray down with GFF.....that plant and any others within spore range. Garden Friendly Fungicide.

OK......do what I said and you will be fine. It works and it's a method I use for my outdoor plants. Some Home depots carry it or amazonfu if you don't have any.

LOL.....I did a light dep run for seeds couple of years ago and I got mold/rot. But in that case I used the sulphur so the seeds could finish. It will kill the mold but the bud as well. Sulphur in veg will eliminate PM very,very well also.

@Willie my local Home Depot’s do not have it. It will be here tomorrow, my question is should I remove affected areas now or wait until I have spray available to reduce spread

Cut it out now. It's best to get rid of it as quick as possible to eliminate more infection.

Very mild but works well. Not available locally but a good one to have on hand. I've been using it as a wash when I take down plants to kill any PM fungus?

PM was getting a little bitchy on me at one point. Quite frustrating too. Then one day I am reading JoeCrowe on OG and he goes on and on about treating PM with sprayable sulfur and it was some of the most spot on advice I ever got . Basically, you have to work your grow out to where all your plants getting ready to be put into flower get sprayed with sprayable sulfur. 2 applications 10 days apart....then put in flower. I did that process one time and have not seen a spec of PM since It was really great advice and many folks testafying it worksed for them.
Previous to that I was using all manner of sprayable google recipes, Green Cure. etc, and none...that's none, eradicated it or cured it for too long.

I've only tried the powder in the past. I've found neem oil controls it well up to 4-5 weeks into flip. I'll have to look into sprayable sulfer?

Chopped off the definite spot as well as anything questionable. Trashed everything visible and salvaged some bugs to see what happens to em over the next couple days. Hopefully they don’t progress and I can use it. If not, oh well I’m glad I caught it earlier than later and let it spread I checked ..

Not much to add, but @Schwaggy P got me turned onto this stuff and I call it Family Friendly Fungicide because its funnier to me.

Or, maybe that was a LOT to add.
