Channellock cracker

Many ways to go about crackin' a bean, i've used the bean cracker you twist, pliers, teeth, they all work. but this is what I prefer, especially for thicker shelled seeds or when I don't have a lot to pop. or just really want to make sure something has a good head start.

I torch the channel locks before, let it cool and scrub the teeth so there's no dirty stuff.
if they are new channellocks, you may not need a bag but it just helps with my shaky/jerky movements and is peace of mind between seedpools.
Others do this too i'm not alone, just thought I'd share for those who find it useful, the channel locks really help cause they are so big and give more control with the longer handles and filed teeth.

Funny Gif. 🤣

That's a great technique. I never thought of channel locks.

I do the same, kind of. Only I've been using my fingers for some time. Just have to have some squeeze and Be really Careful and as sterile as possible. Also it is best to Crack them by putting pressure on the seam, not the flat side. Until the end pops open just a little.
I know growers who've been using their teeth to crack them for some years. It makes a tiny sound when it pops thay you can hear, if you use you're teeth.

Use bag seeds to practice fellas.
