Defoliate - Day 40?

Nefar

In Bloom
To defoliate or not defoliate. This is day 40 and the humidty down here in the dungeon is 60+ at night. It's got bad enough that I leave 2 sides open at night and let the dehumidfier push right up inside the tent. I was pumping it in via a duct but it was not cutting it. Now the problem is I get bascially no temp drop at night it will sit @ 82-84 49-50%. I've got 5 fans in there.

Think I needed more bud booster earlier. This megacrop is alright but I think I got better results with the liquid nuets since It was easier to adjust. (though more costly) See anything else wrong lmk hah. Think I was high on nitrogen. Again.

WOW, everything looks really nice 🤘

For the sake of getting the RH under control, absolutely, I'd defoliate those decently heavily

They're past the point of needing much leaf surface area anyway 🤷‍♂️

And FWIW, I've also had to endure higher lights-off temp matching my lights-on temp due to running a dehumidifier at lights-off. It hasn't caused me any noticeable problems and, IMO, might be a "precision stress" factor leading to potentially boosted trichs, resins or terps 🤷‍♂️

not sure if this is doable in your situation, but I suck in outside air at night here which helps with RH and temps. especially after I bought a better dehuey that works great but really spits out the heat. lights are on at night only during bloom

as I was up on the roof painting some trim, a thought came to me: wonder if they make an "inline" dehuey.

pricey but might fix your high RH

A little defoliation wouldn't hurt anything. Beautiful plants mang!

When I ran my flower room, thats how I modded the portable ac's. I secured a duct piece that fit into the blower/top of the ac, then ran flex duct to my room intake. The room intake sucked the cold ac air into the room. But I secured it as to not prevent the intake fan from working as intended.

You can mod any normal deheuy the same way as the pricey spider farmer version.

Thank you gentlemen as always the phenohunter crew comes through with the knowledge!

BH: I started with that about a month in I found out I was giving too much light in early veg. Though sometimes I'm not overly sure on it's accuracy. It had me tempted to get their little lens.

It's looking more and more DIY top for the dehumidifer.

Starting to catch a small wiff when I hit the stairs to the basement now but if I bump a branch. Damn.

I measured the inside of the "port/opening" of my portable ac's, then hit up home depot. It fit pretty much perfect. I added a silicone bead all around to seal it fully. Also, the bottom has a kink in it. I used a hvac 90* elbow. You want to try and minimize any curves or kinks.
