What's up, Hunters ๐Ÿค˜

Alright, so we got our last couple Grape Stomper OG F2s that either I or my dad obtained from Native Sun Genetics/Cartier Crops.

There were four seeds, three of which sprouted and only two were female.

1000005491.jpg
From the very beginning, both of these plants seemed to exhibit a sensitivity to DLI overexposure and would droop at about hour 14 of lights-on

Fast fwd a bit, and when I transplanted these into bigger pots, they became bigger crybabies about transplant stress and the DLI thing.

1000005763.jpg
Transplanted on Christmas eve, after 9 weeks veg, and they look HORRIBLY small for 9weeks ๐Ÿ˜ข i mostly attribute that to very low humidity in the 2x2 veg tent, i was running a dehumidifier while flowering other plants and it really stalled the growth progress of these. Never showed any deficiencies or problems otherwise.

1000005799.jpg
Even five days after transplant, they're clearly still growing but just saggy and overall very sad looking.

1000005844.jpg
9 or 10 days after transplant, looking better than they have in a while and just about ready to flip to flower.

Here's why I think most of the droop is because of DLI overexposure. Here's the clones from these plants:
1000005839.jpg
1000005840.jpg
The humidity for these clones is low but not as low as when the mothers were in here, I'm no longer running a dehumidifier in the lung room.

I switched these clones to 16/8 lighting.

The Henderson's Haze auto hitching a ride on this grow, is doing very well. It's my first Mephisto and I'm pretty excited about it. It's been a remarkably easy plant to grow, it's literally just hitching a ride with photos
1000005551.jpg
Dropped Nov 13, and just started showing flower yesterday on day 50
1000005846.jpg
This will finish out under 12/12 lighting, but I've done that with autos a few times and it doesn't seem to affect yield.

That's it for now ๐Ÿค˜

I've had a few plants act like this early and then stretches into late Veg making me wonder what the heck is going on and the old "what did I do now?" in my head kicks in. I usually just keep the lights a bit lower. I have blamed poor rooting for this in the past when using crap starter soil. They have always picked it up and never looked back once a good rootball is going in flower or if you veg long enuff.

Look like they're ready to turn the corner to me! Fire in the hole! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ

That's solid advice, I bet having the light low and dimmed properly would provide more warmth to the leaf surfaces ๐Ÿ‘

I used really tall cages on these plants and it prevents me from lowering the light. I think in the future, I'll probably wait a week or two after transplant before caging them ๐Ÿ‘

It's kinda my go to fix all advice from Aquaman at the farm back a few years ago. I try to take immediate stressors like heat and light and back them off, give it a few days and look for signs of improvement. More often than not it's the correct Rx :)

Day 11 flower/day 60 auto from seed

1000005887.jpg
Another leaf-strip and final lollipopping of branches that won't sufficiently reach the canopy.

1000005888.jpg
The auto is auto'ing perfectly fine under 12/12 lighting ๐Ÿ‘ i should do a proper 16 or 18-hr lighting run with this strain, this has been an absolute breeze to grow โค๏ธ i kept it on Grow feed until first sign of flowers at day 50, then switched to Bloom feed. Within a couple days started adding Hydoplex/PK booster @ 2ml/gal. It's getting the equivalent of start of week 3 scheduled feed.
1000005889.jpg
This frickin crybaby on the other hand ๐Ÿ˜‚ lol! GSOG #2 Every time it levels off I do have to stress it on some way but it really reacts to the stress, but not the clone of it so I'm sure the fickle nature is just this plant.

1000005890.jpg
GSOG #1 really nothing fancy going on so far, just a regular weed plant for now. The clone of this is really leggy so I'm anticipating a mas stretch in the next couple weeks, but I'm ready with the tall cage ๐Ÿ‘

Day 69 from seed, day 19 since first flower
1000005954.jpg
Henderson's Haze Auto lookin really nice, doing perfectly fine just cruising along, the smell is starting to get this neat metallic-mango sweetness but only when the sugar leaves are touched.

Day 18 flower for the Grape Stomper OGs
Pheno #1 the 7-leaf sativa leaner (?)
1000005956.jpg

Pheno #2 the fat 5-fingered leaf one, the more standard Grape Stomper-leaner (?)
1000005955.jpg

They're looking a little more similar, but pheno #2 is still on a booster seat, so is the autoflower
1000005957.jpg
The saggy plants bounced back pretty nicely which is a huge relief. I keep defoliating them slowly little by little, so as not to stress them out all at once.

GSOG #1
1000005993.jpg
This one smells "darker" than #2 by comparison but is still developing. Just a basic berry-sweet with some depth to it.

GSOG #2
1000005994.jpg
This one is really bright, smells like powdered purple candy. This might be the keeper of the two, simply because I prefer plants that express aromas & trichomes kinda early. I find that early expression usually results in very flavorful & crystallized flowers, just my opinion.

Honorable mention, the Mephisto Hendersons Haze auto is smelling REALLY nice!
1000005995.jpg
A very noticeable mango-fruit smell, leaning toward candy peach rings ๐Ÿ”ฅ. This one is making me want to pop more autos & grow em under longer lighting, this one is going so well under 12/12 it makes me wonder what it would look like right now if it was under 16/8 or 18/6 lighting ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

GSOG #1. week 6 flower
1000006073.jpg
Frosty dense golfball nugs, my buddy said "this one is straight grape gas" but i still a sort of boysenberry syrup vibe from this one.

GSOG #2
1000006072.jpg
(horrible pic, sorry) Honestly it's not much different than #1 but smells a little more like powdered candy than #1. Still leaning on keeping this of the two.

Hendersons Haze auto, day 92 from seed approx week 6 since start of flower
1000006057.jpg
Yummy tropical fruit-jellybean smell, sticky as all hell. Starting to fatten up a lil bit but still makes me wonder how much thicker the flowers might have been under longer lighting periods ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

OOOOPS my bad, I've been calling my #1 and #2 backwards. I have #1 labeled:
1000006109.jpg
THIS is #1. A little lighter in color especially at the tops. This one smells kinda piney/sour and dank fuel. Super dense, large-ish popcorn style nugs.
1000006107.jpg

This is #2, the darker one. The smell is sweeter but with a similar fuel funk. The buds on this are getting a crazy surge in growth & are probably gonna be baby-fists.
1000006108.jpg

Pics are at day 55 flower.
1000006106.jpg

1000006173.jpg
1000006172.jpg
Each of the two are slowly bulking as they ripen, #1 is either doing a slight early fade or might be exhibiting a mild magnesium deficiency or something. Too far along to do anything drastic.

Neither of these are outwardly grape-y enough to keep around much longer, just my 2 cents. I'm gonna flower out these nice ones I have in the 2x2 and then just let em go
1000006169.jpg
I took two clones of each pheno for a buddy to run outdoors
1000006170.jpg
I mean, i still need to finish these & I hate writing anything off too soon, but I have so many genetics options that if something doesn't "wow" me through at least mid flower, then it's on to the next.

I'm glad I'm not the only one..Life's to short to keep growing bland plants.. ALWAYS looking for the WOW..Have to say I been pretty blessed and lucky and have NO room for complaints but ya know there is always that magical plant waiting to be found..It's all in the odds. The more ya play the better chance ya got ..Most of the time you'll find a plant so perfect but only in a couple areas..Very hard to find a single plant that checks every box perfectly...I haven't found that plant yet and it's not from lack of trying...But I will. I surely will๐Ÿ˜‰. Definitely closer than I ever been
